Public Apology To ESO Community

Good evening to you all.

I want to publicly apologize to every single one of you for my unspeakable behavior yesterday. I know I've angered quite a few of you. I apologize to @GreySix for absolutely ruining his day. I apologize to everyone else for my horrible and unreasonable actions. And I apologize to ZeniMax, for causing damage that costed hundreds if not thousands of dollars to repair.

I am 16 years old (17 in 2 weeks) with special needs. I am playing this game with permission from my dad.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, yesterday I saw a thread opened by @GreySix that asked for personal info. I replied to that thread saying that he was asking for personal info, which was against forum code of conduct. However, I got carried away, and went on one of the biggest trolls ever seem by anyone. Absolutely nothing can justify that.

I later had two naming and shaming threads opened against me, and now I feel those should've been left up, because nothing can justify my actions.

I know none of you think I'm sincere. However, I thought of the damage I caused by my mistake and cried so hard my eyelids were swollen shut for the majority of the plane ride today.

I made a terrible choice. And worse, I let myself get entangled in this for no good reason. I wasted Zenimax's money for no good reason.

I apologize to everyone.

I'm sorry if this post looks like a random jumble of words. I am literally crying and shaking and fear I'm going to vomit for causing this damage.

How did you waste money? You're special needs and 16, but articulate like someone in their 20s or later... I don't believe someone your age could type that well. I don't know you, or know what you did.

@Arena25 Although I was one of the people who was pretty p*ssed off yesterday, no harm done, really.
To come back here to apologize publicly was not an easy step, I guess. I think it's great you had the courage to do it nevertheless

Everyone can have a bad day, it can end up in posting or saying things we regret afterwards.
Now I want to apologize to YOU that I was talking back to you in a rough tone.
So yeah, welcome back, I guess^^

I just teared up too, but only because of how laughable this is, 11/10 on the trolling, 1/10 on feeling bad about it after.

When people break rules, either on forums or in-game, it costs money to fix.

I know this is a bad example, but in January of this year, in another MMO game called RIFT, players found a way to exploit a boss and got faster completion times. Trion had to end up spending tens of thousands of dollars to stop the exploit and ban the players involved in the exploit.

Now, that might not seem like much, but considering that Rift's budget is $36 million, that's a pretty considerable chunk. And not only are they spending money fixing exploits, but that takes away money that could've been better spent making new content.

Well it takes courage to admit your mistakes and apologise.

Don't worry too much. No-one got hurt, other than perhaps a few virtual noses put out of joint. And I doubt it cost ZOS anything above the usual costs of policing this madhouse

Learn from it, move on and next time you plan to type something which might be considered trolling, walk away from your computer for a few minutes, then re-read what you typed and see if you still want to click "post". This usually avoids most of those heat of the moment posts, which are the ones people tend to end up regretting.

You need to take MMORPG forums with a grain of salt. We all have opinions and it is hard when you really love the game and this one most importantly. People are going to call you names at times, try to get you to say something back at them to get you banned (believe me they been doing it to me for 2 weeks now), you just have to laugh at it and know you may just be on to something. Just know if you plan on playing MMO's you have to put on the thick Armor or these people will eat you alive.
