Champion Points Enlightened not working ?

I am permanently enlightened as I do less then 100,000xp per session (each day).
I expected 1 CP at 100,000 200,000 300,000 and 400,000 XP.
However, I only ever get CP @ 400,000 or if I have crossed 2 100,000xp boundaries by doing considerably more than 100,000xp.
eg.
78,000 > 100,000 will give me 0CP
78,000 > 200,000 will give me 1CP
Because I rarely do 100,000+ XP per session...I never get the enlightened bonus CP
Is this how the system is supposed to work ?
How does enlightenment help me ?

I too have the occurance that I barely get CP. I also only do short sessions, etc.
I mostly only get CP when I do a longer quest run, which lasts for 2-3 hours.
But I haven't looked at the numbers, so this may be subjective.0
