Seige Weapon Disappearing While Repairing

Yesterday, I was in the process of repairing my prized and cherished Cold Stone Treb when it suddenly disappeared. I had nearly repaired it back to 100% HP when it vanished completely from my inventory, and in doing so resulted in a gaping hole being left in my heart. Do siege weapons still disappear after a certain period of inactivity even while they are being repaired? And if so, can this please be fixed? I miss my Cold Stone dearly.

✭✭✭If you repair a siege weapon, once every 2 repair sessions you need to use it and then you can get out of it and repair again.
If you repair it and stay out of it to long, it degrades faster then you can repair and it's gone in seconds.٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶
