ESO should allow for cross faction PVE/Dungeons?

Do you think ESO should offer cross faction dungeon access? It shouldn't have impact on pvp so I don't see any obstacles.

Zenimax if you wish you can sell it as DLC I will pay for it :P

I rather wait longer until I find a group than team up with the enemy :) It would break immersion for sure. Not worth it in my opinion.

I'd love to be able to group with anyone for trials/ dungeons. That would be amazing and I honestly don't know why this isn't already allowed since we are able to do dungeons in other faction's territories before we get to cadwell's silver/gold.

As far as immersion goes: my character doesn't care about the war. I know this isn't true for everyone, but for me I just don't.

Yes. It was a shortcoming on the part of developing the game to think that every player would care about pvp. I would even accept a complete lifetime ban from Cyrodiil if it meant I could group with whomever I wanted, with whatever toon I wanted ...no matter where they started the game.

The game would be so much less tedious verses making us stay within one faction if we found a guild we really enjoy PVE side.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

I wish it did to maybe make it easier to form a group to run dungeons. As it stands, barely anyone uses the group finder, and spamming zone chat takes hours. Even been a few nights where I just gave up after a few hours and figured I'd try again to do some dungeons the next day.

Also, this wouldn't break immersion as there really isn't any to begin with. Those who bought the pre-order or bought in crown shop can be any race in any alliance anyway. We grind through the other alliances' content once we finish our own. Cyrodiil no one cares about the 'war'. People just make alts and swap to the alliance that is owning the map so they can get their 'rewards'.

You're just telling us how you play. Lots of us do care and play it as designed... we don't try to ruin it for ourselves by asking for the game to be turned into yet another lobby MMO.

This isn't how I play in Cyrodiil. This is how the majority does. Also my statement is in reference to how there really isn't any immersion in ESO, so allowing people to extend their reach to form groups to run dungeons would not hurt anything.

Catering to some groups of players and not all groups of players is a sure fire way to make an MMO fail.

If a group of two AD, one EP, and one DC are running xxxx dungeon.....do you know what that does to my "immersion"??? Nothing. Nothing at all, not a darn thing. Nor would it bother anyone else's game if they were being completely honest. You aren't forced to group.

Tie it to the group finder, and let people who want to live through their immersion continue to group with friends and zone chat.

I voted YES because I think having more options can't hurt. I don't run dungeons, at least not anymore, though.

What I always wondered about: is Craglorn a cross faction zone or not? As far as I know, it isn't, but why not? So often I read here on the forums that players cannot find others to share a quest with, for example. Cross faction means more players, means higher chances to find someone to group with.

For anyone worried about breaking there "immersion" the whole current sceanrio of this game already messes with the lore of the series and can only be explained away by a Dragon Break anyways.

    Peace :)

This argument has never made the slightest bit of sense. The group dungeons are all expeditions that you do as members of a guild that is neutral in the alliance war: the Undaunted. You wouldn't be teaming up with the enemy, you'd be teaming up with fellow members of the Undaunted to do a mission for your guild.

Mind you, if you really feel that strongly about not teaming up with members of an opposing alliance, you must also refuse to do any of Cadwell's Silver or Gold, and you must also refuse to do any dungeons outside your home alliance anyway, since doing any of that means that you're directly helping the enemy anyway.

I like this idea. In fact, it would be great if open-world (non-Cyrodiil) zones starting from Craglorn onwards, would allow cross-faction. I still haven't completed all the quests in Craglorn as it's usually too hard to find a group, allowing cross-faction would facilitate grouping at least.

Also, for those saying they don't want to group with other factions, that's fine, don't. Those of use who don't care and / or are roleplaying that the war is already over, should be allowed to do so.

    More options > less options.

It would efficiently utilise resources better. It's a mathematically positive feature to have.

You have X number of players searching for dungeon Y, if they all fit the criteria, they are automatically grouped up together but only when the party will be full.

Regardless of faction so it's more efficient. The goal of group finder is to assemble groups, it should be made as mathematically efficient as possible in order to better create a cohesive and efficient gaming platform.

I wouldn't puncture two of my tyres on the car just because they're a different brand and I have posters all over my house displaying their main competitor.

Largely though I'd like to see it go cross faction when it comes to searching for dungeon groups to help reduce wait times. Pvp and open world I can see being restricted but seeing as dungeons are set up the same for everybody and only really effect you and your group, faction isn't so much of an issue there.

Suggested this back way back in September 2014 and I still stand by it.

Saying no just because they are from another faction makes no sense.. There may be a war going on, but that don't mean that everybody in a faction is a soldiering patriot.. There could easily be people that think that the war is wrong and who actively work on breaking down the whole us/them problem  there ya go, immersion is back hehe

This will only work if there is a global chat for recruiting or a significantly better party finder system, one that tracks gears and stats and the possibility of success instead of just throwing in some random player to get slaughtered inside.

    -reduced lfg times
-we already have cross faction guilds
-we are already forced to do each factions quests
-we are all in guilds that are apart of all sides (mage guild, thieves guild)
    -increased use of the lfg
    -meeting new people
    - easy to setup
    - lore wise could be as simple as setting aside you differences maybe after you have done the other two sides so you know their struggles to fight a common enemy.
    - maybe as an unlock once you complete sliver and gold
    - the ones that do not want this a simple switch in the lfg to only search inside your own faction could be implemented so they dont have to use it if they dont want to.

But first you need to sort out the lfg apply your new version of it from the console to the pc then add in a few tweaks to pick up on stats and player level for better grouping like in the link below.

I am not into pvp too, but lore wise and RP it doesn't make sense to fight alongside with the enemy...
