Considering that in 1.4-1.5 one could go to 10k+ AOE dps and stay there for quite a bit in some situation. On a magicka DK or NB at least. I don't quite see what is new here?

its called overload for a sorc. a good overload build. You get about 22k-33k crits - depending on the boss/person you are trying to kill.
