Legerdemain Leveling Delay

Don't know if this has been noted yet, did a search and couldn't find a similar thread or post, so here ya go.

When selling/laundering items there is a pretty big delay between performing the action and the progress bar filling for the action performed. Especially with multiple sells/launders in quick succession.

Notifications for gaining a new Legerdemain level have quite a delay as well. Started a new alt yesterday and the progress bar was a good ways up in lvl 2 before the notification for having reached lvl 2 popped up on screen with the accompanying sound effect.

It would be great if this could be addressed.

Also, just looked up the definition for Legerdemain:

legerdemain
[lej-er-duh-meyn]

noun
1.
sleight of hand.
2.
trickery; deception.
3.
any artful trick.

Word Origin and History for legerdemain Expand
n.
early 15c., "conjuring tricks," from Middle French léger de main "quick of hand," literally "light of hand," from léger "light" in weight (from Latin levis "light;" see lever ) + main "hand" (from Latin manus ; see manual ).

Because you are probably leveling 1 point at time, and the game will show each of this one at time.
    This happens with all skills.

In my opinion: "working as intended".

If you want to see your actual position in that skill, open your Skill panel.

I think I know what they are talking about. I've gone in, laundered a ton of stuff, sold stuff and paid off a bounty. I am out of the refuge and well on my way to another location then all of the sudden my level catches up and it says I am upstanding. It is very slow compared to how other skills update levels.

In the big scheme of things, is this really important? The level does in fact update, albeit with a delay. I'd much rather see work done on the game freeze and crash, or lag, or mount issues, or a crap load of stuff that IS broken.

Because you usually don't level only 1 point that fast in another skills, if you did, they would look the same.
Since the messages are queued up, the "Upstanding" message will show last if you payed after you sold/laundered items.
You can also check your "Upstanding" status in your character panel right away.

Once again, in my opinion: Working as intended.

There is no delay in gaining the legerdemain experience, only in the visual indicator popping up on screen to show you the animation of the skill increasing.

Next time you sell a load of items to the fence quickly, go to your skill screen and check the legerdemain skill there. You will see that it already has the new value, say halfway to level 5, while the on-screen animation in the upper left corner still slowly makes it's way towards level 4.

Yes, the visual indication is what I was referencing.

It may be working as intended, but could be working better, in my opinion.

I would think that someone who saw other things they'd like addressed as more worthy of their energy would focus said energy in said areas.
