Just wondering.. what ever happened to the development of this stuff? Quake Con was in July, and all of this got shown off, but we've only seen 1/2 of the implementation of Justice System (no enforcer) and nothing else really....

I mean we are talking 9+ months and none of this has been released. What's the hold up?
  • Imperial City
  • Justice - Enforcer System
  • Spellcrafting
  • Adventure Zone - Murkmire
  • Adventure Zone - Wrothgar

I'd be surprised if we see any of it before 2016. Imperial City is the only thing we might see in fall/winter 2015 for a holiday sales boost.

I'd wager the bean counters told the execs there wasn't enough money and the metrics showed that focusing on console would be the best development choice financially.

End the tedious inventory management game.

It's probably all still in the works and will slowly be released as DLC.

They'll give us an update when they have the same exact presentation at Quakecon 2015 in a couple months.

I hope they will do the update on quakecon 2015. I would really love to see Murkmire in Fall 2015 as DLC and spellcrafting as New Year gift or next Spring thing.... :)

    Console release.

First, realization that Microsoft won't forego their online fee for Xbox Live, even after lengthy negotiations,

second, scramble to drop the sub model for all platforms and put B2P in place,

third, using all hands to get the console port out of the door on time, because that's where they see the big money is to be made (after all, Skyrim was way bigger on console than on PC), and since they've committed themselves now by dropping the sub model, console release is either do or die for them.

That's my take. I have nothing against consoles, mind you. The more platforms, the merrier. The more paying customers, the better for the game and its future content. Sure, a backlog of of content creation and release might bite them in the back, but people who are truly committed to the ES franchise will either stay and endure, or come back later. With B2P in place now, it's not as if they are forced to pay for something that isn't there yet, anyway...

Console, console, DK bug hot fixing, more console, sorc DPS, console, Templar bug watching, console, more console, fix Templar, not enough console, console beta, console lag fixes, console beta 2, console release, console lag and bug fixes, more console, bye bye August, more console...
then maybe we'll see the other half of the justice system and imperial city.

Failure to be competitive with other pc mmo's, so saving it all to sell to 12 year olds on console? My best guess.
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

So all console users are 12 year old children?

I have yet to meet anyone under 20 on the ps4 also lf your not aware of the stats for skyrim 86 percent of sales were for the console side. So from a business point of view i would focus on the console release and if it takes off i would slowly kill off the pc side as it requires alot of resources.

By this i would consider everyone using the same hardware over 1000s of different set ups. But that is just me thinking from one point of view so you tell me what would you do in their current position?.

All the stuff on Quakecon was announced as DLC for the videogame The Elder Scrolls Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online does not exist.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has had no DLC announced; the Imperial City has been mentioned and shall likely be released as DLC.

Nothing to see here people, more stuff is being added to the Crown Store soon however, so please have no fear. You may find more of the Blue Pill by the exit.

The Champion System was not mentioned there. This is what took all of their resources prior to them spending all their time/energy on console. In their defense, they did make it pretty clear that after the CS, there would be no new content until after console launch.

And they decided to go with the CS due to the overwhelming negative feedback about the Vet System, and the resulting mass exodus.... Of course they never actually finished the CS conversion either.

People on PC are still playing? I cant level up yet another character (three now) waiting on them to finally get around to releasing DLC. Everyone I know has finally got fed up and quit playing/cancelled their plus memberships. So hope the console people are going to carry the game because the PC users are leaving in droves more and more everyday they refuse to release DLC.

How long are we expected to wait for new DLC and continue paying? Most of us do not plan on coming back either. Once you lose people and they start playing something else its hard to get players to return. They have a new game now. Me Ive been playing GTA V. I might come back to ESO and start paying again if they ever get around to releasing a new solo friendly zone.

They also never finished Justice System (Enforcer).

It almost seems like ZoS is good at doing things about half way then moving on...

You are so incredibly correct about this. The decisions ZOS have made are completely baffling. I could speculate but that's not welcomed on this forum.

As for GTAV... multiplayer on that game is top notch! Even though they are vastly different games I can safely say that GTAV leaves me less wanting than ESO.

I expect that the Enforcer System will not ever come in the way that it was presented. The best we may get is a single new city that hires enforcers, but we will probably never see it applied to the whole game. There are too many people that are enraged by PvP for it to be applied to all of Tamriel. We've already been told that Spell crafting is shelved.

Everything else in your list will probably happen between Q3 2015 and Q1 2016.

Maybe if they released the game in a playable condition they would probably still have far more PC players than they do now. There are countless millions of PC players, more than consoles, it's not because of the lack of potential playerbase the game did ***.
The reason is PC players won't take this crap and move on to the next MMO, as you can imagine, PC is far more competitive when it comes to choice of games. If you blow it by releasing buggy mess, theres plenty of alternatives for players to go to. If the game was stable, enticing and better advertised, there would be no reason for it to go under.
Great games attract many people, broken ones don't, regardless what platform. If many of the gamebreaking issues transfer to console version, it doesn't matter how many millions of players are on consoles, nobody will want to play broken games, and in return the studio will go under as the so praised console release will not save what is already doomed.
(Not saying it will happen, but it very well might)

Indeed bud it could also i am a pc gamer but will be going to ps4 for eso and some mates. But do you know why pc players drop like crazy its because most of us have a spare mmo we enjoy in our pocket that we can go back to should the new game we try fails to pull us in. Also after seeing the beta im just blown away by it no joke its just really well done.
