Opening chests XP and loot no longer scale to level

The XP and loot from locked chests no longer scale to your level. Is this an intended change?

    Where is the chest? They have always been set to the zone you are in.

    The only places where the loot scaled to level was Cyrodiil and Craglorn (with the exception of soul gems, which always scaled).

    What makes you say that this has changed?

    I never paid much attention to the gear so I may be mistaken on that but I was getting 4k-9k 400-1000 XP for chests (depending on difficulty) no matter what zone they were in. Now I'm not. Maybe it is/was an addon display error.

    I played earlier today and the treasure was still scaling to my level.

    Hope they didn't change this.

    I heard the number for chests was 900 something, but that might have been CPs.

    One thing that can get confusing is, say you have an AD character and you get a Treasure Map for Auridon. You stash the map in the bank until your DC character gets to Caldwell's Silver, which means Auridon is now VR1 for this zone for the DC. If you grab the map with your DC character, then the loot will be VR1, if you grab the map with your AD character, then the loot will be L7 to L15

    Pretty sure my Vr13 get's 1009 XP (x4 CP if enlightened) for chests in Craglorn (and gold zones? haven't paid much attention) and about 200-ish XP for chests in Auridon (she's AD so this is a starting area) - and always has.

    I have NEVER gotten 4k XP (CP yes if enlightened...but definitely never 9k either way!!) from a chest.

    I've never noticed it alter based on difficulty (it may? I just don't notice).

    I have a couple of addons that bounce up XP amounts whenever I get them FTC and Lootdrop - so those are what I'm basing numbers on. Note: FTC appears to bounce up CP numbers not XP - so it bounces up the 4k of my CP, while lootdrop bounces up the 1009XP.

    If that makes sense...

    If only all cheats scaled to V14, Martial Knowledge items would not be so costly.

    Yeah, that makes sense. I was going by FTC numbers and never bothered to check it against actual XP mostly because I am usually running around on a V14 so I wasn't concerned whether I was actually getting XP. Guess i won't rely on FTC numbers then.

    But yeah, FTC was telling me an advanced difficulty chest was 900 XP before today.

    Heh that makes far more sense. I was wondering where you were finding your chests! I wanted tips. o:)

    1009 is consistent with what I've been getting in Vet zones.

    Not checked non-vet on my VR tools lately though.
