It can crit much higher than that. I regularly see Crystal Fragment crits for 18-20k in vDSA and when using Might of the Guild have even hit 25k Crystal Fragments crits also in vDSA. Even in Cyrodiil I often see 15-20k Crystal Fragment crits against enemy players. I have ~52% crit so these numbers come up more often than not too, I think my average Crystal Fragments damage is around 15k as my non-crit damage easily hits 11k.
I'd check your build if it is only critting for 13.4k.

Whoever plays a sorc and truly thinks sorcs aren't OP, are terrible at video games. Not just this one.
What if they removed the extra magicka cost of successive BE's and replaced it with one that consumes that amount of stamina instead of magicka? So if it costs 2k to BE once, it would cost 2k to BE a second time, but it would consume 3k stamina as well. You could bolt escape even more than before, but it would come with risk reward this time.

Well, that would make it so I could only BE like 3 times, so no I wouldn't like that, personally. My stamina is abysmal though.

Either you put on a bow and attempt to hit them, use 2H and crit charge them, or sword and shield and and shield charge us(all three of those things have triple the range of ONE bolt escape cast. think about that). If you chase a sorc WITHOUT knowing you have the upper hand is the stupidest thing you can do, and if you keep doing it then you are terrible. So because us sorcs use a skill that is meant to get us out of combat or quickly into combat (depending on play style) and you cant kill/stop/catch up to them, it means gut the freaking sorcs right?
When I quit playing this game it wont be because of the devs. It will be because of this toxic community who cry for nerfs on EVERYTHING that they cant do and or refuse to learn to deal with mechanic wise (this is 100% a learn to play issue). The crazy amounts of the nerf word being thrown around mixed with people assuming every one class should be able to do/counter every situation (which lets be honest you can be IF you are willing to change your style) while in pvp is just insane.
You go to pvp thinking it will play like PVE. No it wont. You realize a sorc can get away from you with your current set up. What is the only logical solution? Cry for nerfs!

We want to pull you from your group and slowly make you waste your resources, then when the time is right (see previous statement about waiting until it is in our favor) we strike and burst. Not our fault you chased us. Not our fault that when we came back and started teasing you again then ran away your epeen got hurt and you needed to chase us to prove your dominance! That is EXACTLY what sorcs are banking on. People fall for it ALL. THE. TIME.
I made this video for my friend who claims sorcs are so easy to play and are the noobest class in the game and anyone can roll one and be good. I couldnt stop laughing. If you make ONE mistake you die as a sorc. READ THAT AGAIN lol ONE mistake This video will also show you things to do to counter sorcs. The sad part of the video is that I do, infact, make a mistake. Just saying: you were one of the strongest and most vocal posters when the subject of DK's and their relative strength vis-a-vis other classes, particularly sorcerers, back in 1.4 and 1.5. When posters told you the sorts of counters you could do as a sorc, you utterly dismissed them, not because these tactics were ineffective, but *they didn't match the style you wanted to play*.
It is interesting now the shoe is on the other foot and many people are vocal against your class, you dismiss their concerns with "YOU DON'T" You tell them to equip a bow, but when this sort of change-your-playstyle advice was given to you about DKs, you insisted that you shouldn't have to.
I know you are going to retort that this is somehow different for whatever reason and if you think that way, which I'm sure you do, that is fine. I just find it amusing that many of the posters who were raging about their ineptness vs DKs and now defending their class when other posters are raging about their ineptness against sorcerers.

I remember the same thing and was already working on a similar post. He even entered the DK discussion thread on 1.6 PTS and tried to derail it over further DK nerfs. Toxic was the perfect word for it.

I will not deny that with that being said, bolt escape was nerfed into the ground and people still complain about it lol I didnt switch my weapons to counter reflective scales because I found other ways around it. Keyword there is found other ways around it :P The only difference here is that ZoS admitted RS was way to strong for what it does. Like I previously stated, bolt escape is not as bad as people make it out to be one bit. Is it annoying sure is. But ZoS has already hit that thing with the nerf bat and never looked back on it.

It was not nerfed to the ground, it was nerfed. People were still BEing 12x in a row (sorc self reported) in 1.5, with CP and the loss of caps that is now higher. It is the self presumption that "your own complaints are the only valid ones" that leads to a toxic community.
