At first I was surprised that after 10 or so hours of update 6 being live we had yet to see a forum post about Radiant Destruction. Now, I can feel it in my bones, that hundreds of new threads, all asking for this ability to be nerfed and crying about how OP it may or may not be, are about to fill the entire forum.
In this instance, now that a handful of threads have been started, I feel the need to say a few words and voice my own concerns...
1. The LOS of this ability IS completely broken, I will say that. Targeting an enemy and blasting away, the enemy breaks line of sight-> Never breaks beam or stops damage...
2. Want to get away? Try a Roll Dodge! This ability eats a ton of Magicka, just saying...
3. The fact that this ability has the potential to do devastating damage does NOT make it OP. Look at 'Snipe', even though it isn't channeled it still causes a metric crap ton of devastating damage, several other abilities are the same way!
4. Radiant Destruction does have several counters! Get out there and experiment! Find ways to nullify this ability and shove it up a Templars nose! (It CAN be done!)
Lastly, we know... We all know how much some of you are hating this ability, but we were all able to adapt to Focused Aim and Snipe arrow spam.
So before all of you flood the forum with your rants of rage and tears of torment, JUST SAVE IT!
Rethink your strategy and adapt. Find the niche that fits your own play style and own that ****!!!

P.S. Radiant Destruction threads are funnier than snipe, impulse and flappy flap threads put together.

While on my NB I dodge rolled away from RD, dropped cloak and was way out of range and it still burned me down. It didn't break until I was dead. Yes, I need to work on countering it but a few of the methods stated to break it don't work at the moment. I guess I can counter snipe it and hope I can stun the caster before turning to ashes. Probably should just ambush and bash.
L2P is a factor along with NWAI.
They need to fix the LOS issue, I have yet to see it in my kill log, but it should be LOS like any other ranged attack.

The way it currently works is not only the same as every other channelled ranged attack, but also the same as channelled ranged attacks in every other video game.
Please stop complaining about LoS, it is not the issue.
