How about you stop letting your developers discuss release dates and times. Obviously they have NO idea wtf they are talking about.

I dont understand. Usually people complain they put the patches out regardless of the bugs. I know the only thing they did say was end of feb for 1.6. Its not the end of feb yet.

They would have put it out on the scheduled patch day, which was today for US.

Besides, somewhere buried in a post yesterday a moderator stated that they are pushing 1.6 back to first week in march, which should be march 2nd.
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

Specifically citing an issue where the sound would cut out after a couple hours requiring a full restart of the client... not that anyone cares.

But if that wasn't your specific issue with 1.6, don't get your hopes up.

Lol upset cause they don't get it by time they wanted get out because of tech issue. Upset cause an update is out that causes issue. Upset cause something wasn't update cause they are still working on it. Upset upset upset lol I think some people are just upset with anything.

Its been this way since Arena. Arena was scheduled to be released near Christmas of 1994 if I remember right, of course they missed the release date by like 3 months or more. I wasn't able to get Arena until after March.

At least they are keeping with the tradition of being behind schedule, and telling customers on thing, while doing another.

Do you remember what caused the sound issues? It was a patch I believe... One scheduled to improve the sound that had NOTHING wrong with it. Since that patch, sometime around the LAST update, I have had NO SOUND. None of my abilities sound effects work correctly, animations are off, pvp is laggy as all heck, experience scaling is way out of whack, leveling is like swimming in molasses... I could go on, but im sure you get the point.

Where did that say they would put it out on scheduled patch day? Also that mod said MAYBE not for sure. Guys need to stop reading stuff into things and putting words in the mod's mouth.

Hehe, at this point it would be nice if they did just the opposite. They do not in fact give a date so much as a "maybe" on the month or "targetted month" - so I'd say if anything you are complaining about something that has not actually happened.

As someone that works in IT I can tell you this will never happen. Maybe they need to run some of this through a project manager first, but I'm pretty sure a developer announcing a release date is based on the go ahead of their superiors. It would be pretty hard for one of us to know the dates of everyone else unless it went through some vetting process.

As for the announced dates, there are a lot of things that go into getting a game out there that require them to give a date. Stores need to make space, take reservations, prepare promotionals, etc. If a game company wasn't open about a release date then it would leak out somewhere or there would be a lot of upset distributors and stockholders.

As for the patch dates, they may be a little too ambitious with the schedule. But at the same time a lot of folks on the forums keep pestering people. It might be better to give a range in certain cases, something like "end of Feb the earliest, 2nd week of March the latest" but for a diverse community that may not understand the complexity of software testing, sometimes it's easier to give an early date and apologize for the delay.
