So now that ESO is dying, how long until Elder Scrolls 6?

ESO is on a very predictable trajectory from here on out (they will milk it for as much as they can until it dies). How long until TES 6? I think that's our next shot at the next successful TES game

TES VI is a forgone conclusion. This has been discussed ad nauseum and we do not need another thread on this topic. The single player games are completely independent of the MMO.

Likely to get closed, but what does ESO have to do with TES. Two different companies producing different games. You're being blinded by the fact that they have "Elder Scrolls" in the name, which has no value in the business world. Bethesda continues to work on the single-player Elder Scrolls game, and currently have no released plans for an Elder Scrolls 6 (other than unofficial rumors).

And If Elder Scrolls 6 were to release tomorrow I for one would still sub to this game and purchase/play ES6.

TES IV: Made by Bethesda.

Two seperate companies, ergo ESO's success or failure has zero impact on the release date of TES VI.
Besides, I think we can expect Bethesda to be busy making Fallout 4

For me, playing an Elder Scrolls game is synonymous with immersing myself in one of the best fantasy worlds there is. Unfortunately, now ZOS is injecting real-world cash shops and paywalls (beyond just 1 subscription fee) into the game, which really ruin the immersion for me. That's why I'm looking forward to TES6 now. I play ESO because it offers an Elder Scrolls experience, but it feels cheapened with F2P/B2P.

I just want to play the game without being prompted to blow my money on DLC or "crowns", but that seems unlikely now. Even ESO Plus members will probably be harassed by in-game notifications and menus to spend more. Just not fun, might as well go play Runescape if I want that experience

ESO is a solo game for me anyway and now its F2P I can log on and play when ever I want for free without the worry of paying a monthly fee that kept me coming back because the guilt of paying for something I dont use.

I don't really get the part about allowing or not allowing. No such thing is implied in my single-sentence post.

If I had to guess, I'd say you will see Fallout 4 around the 3rd quarter of 2015.

Probably see TES6 somewhere around the 3rd quarter 2016 or 1st quarter 2017 if I had to make an educated guess.

I stop by the Zenimax Media office and hit up Bethesda on my way from work once every 2-3 months. I stopped by just before Christmas and at most they're working on Fallout 4. There are no real plans for TES 6 yet other than a few story boards with ideas scribbled and I saw A LOT of question marks all over the place.

Only a glimpse though but if I had to guess, TES:6 in 2018, 2019 at the latest.

Likelihood of it taking place after Skyrim where you join the new Aldmeri Dominion and the newly reappeared Psijic Order and learn to harnes the powers of the order and fight back against the Thalmor before they end all of existence.

Some powers the Psijic Order has are complete control of weather and the elements, phase (teleportation) and time travel to name a few.

Fallout 4 MIGHT come this year but most likely next year, so I doubt we'll see a TES:VI before 2018, at the earliest.

Take a close look the next time you boot up ESO. Take a look at the logos being presented. Guess what one of them says? Yup: Bethesda Softworks. That, plus it has "Elder Scrolls" in the title, makes it natural for people to connect them.

Hammerfell (which includes Craglorn) is far from an unrealistic setting for TES:VI - in fact, many hold it as THE most natural setting for the next TES,
