Zenimax Deleted comments off threads? (Seriously?)

Ghettobird52
Some one with authority is deleting mine and another players conversation on another thread. Has this every happened or who can do it? Why would they do it?

They can edt or remove anything that goes against the forum rules.

So you must have done so.

Also you should get a message telling you about this.

Keep in mind that sometimes you might be doing nothing wrong, but talking about the wrong thing in the wrong section. They tend to delete those.

Could you give an example of your conversation? It may show why it was removed, I don't see why this removal would be malicious.

Not sure about that, other than ZoS response would likely be the comment violated the CoC somehow, but they do usually send you a notification if one of your posts was moderated.

I did notice that a recent comment by another user that was posted in another thread in which I was participating was deleted from the thread and, having read it fully, it surprised me as to the deletion since it did not seem to violate anything in the rules...

Ultimately, this forum is not a medium over which we have ownership so it is up to their discretion what will get booted out of a thread if they are so inclined.

Still they should be notifying you why. I am definitely not ok with actions of this type being done without letting you know the reason, if only so that you can avoid the same "mistake" (whatever it was...) in the future.

Hello, folks! If we do remove comments, we will always contact the posters whose posts were removed to explain why. We do not discuss moderation on the forums, and if you ever have questions/concerns about a disciplinary action we have made on the forums, we ask that you please contact http://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ to do so (please specify that you are contacting about a forum-related inquiry or appeal). We are happy to discuss and review specific moderation-related actions with you. Thank you!
