Does the loot system need to be improved?

So I posted a discussion about this and figured I would open this up to a vote. I've found that the loot system could really use an overhaul. I understand ZoS' reason for nerfing it originally because of the bots, but now that they seem to have a better handle on them I feel that the system should be revamped. I can't tell you how many "Simple" chest I've found exploring and while I'm in a lvl 20-25 zone right now with my DK and all the enemies and quest are Lvl 20+ I'm still getting green and white gear that are 5+ Lvls below my toons! Not only chest are affected I feel and I agree with most to a point that not every boss or dungeon should be dropping incredible gear but it would be nice to beat a world boss or quest boss and get something more that 10 gold and an empty soul gem. I would love to see gear that's worth the time it takes for an hour long dungeon and maybe a system that could make it a little closer to your level? Diablo 3 was able to it it a few months ago when the anniversary patch came out and I'll be honest it's the only reason that I started playing again! Gear that I can actually utilize or is worth deconing would be great.

Would you like to see a system that offers loot that's actually usable and worth the time it takes to get?

Do you think the system is ok like it is and should be left alone?

Yes loot sucks. I just Decon everything as trash Playing 1-50 I did not receive 1 useful piece of gear, period. And VR loot? that's a joke.

The idea that you never received "1 useful piece of gear, period" in 1-50 is absurd.

Not saying it couldn't be better, but if really useful stuff was super-common, there would be little point to crafting. I don't find the balance too bad right now. I get plenty of stuff to break down to level my crafts; I mostly find enough gear to keep my characters well-outfitted; and when one item falls behind, I craft it.

If I didn't craft, I would sell all the loot I'm deconstructing, and the gold would add up fast.

I agree that beating a boss should get you a green minimum, a fair chance at a blue, and a small change at a purple. But to prevent farming, characters should be able to score loot from bosses once. After that, they can get junk/crafting stuff, but no good loot, no xp. This would have helped with the bot-farming a long time ago.

I'd love to see chests that were anything but 'simple'. And higher rated chests should actually be a challenge, and those should have a fair chance of dropping better than greens.

I am 46 on my main character. I've found... I think 4 purple items so far as loot drops. I was -thrilled- to find them, and I really, really like that purples are rare, and gold rarer yet. I think that needs to remain the way it is. Making purples/golds more common just kills the 'special' rarity that they are - otherwise, why bother with different colors if they're all going to be common?

I crafted everything myself. And enchanted it. And I love crafting, but sometimes I would like to find a nice piece of loot that would save me from wasting my materials for a few levels.

The only thing I received 1-50 that was useful was stuff I could not make myself, which were rings and amulets. (and the majority of those sucked ass anyway).

What makes the loot terrible is the level lock on them. I get a sword from the King. Yay! A few levels later it's junk.

Give me a house I can cram all this stuff in and it's a non issue.

Please do not read this as a complaint; rather, I am reporting in on my experience.

Now that TESO has lost all its bots via requesting subscription charging prior to play... or turned of trial accounts...

Please please please, stop locking the loot away from players that are 5 levels higher than their target... You can easily find a way to prevent grinders from griefing lvl 10 newbie areas...
For, locking loot away with a 5 level difference is just throwing the issue under the train and running away to shot up on your GAMING ADDICTION -> very UNPROFESSIOANL.

I lack the vocabulary to describe the exact "brick in the face" I experienced when I discovered that loot lock... I almost quit. Thus there are very likely many others that do quit and don't have the urge to report in on the effect that caused their grievance and or leaving the game.

I'd really love to see the loot timer eliminated! Especially now that people can't create an army of characters anymore.

Yeah , Diablo 3 also made pretty much anything worth having BoP back then.

Which means they pretty much killed the entire trade of the game in one go.

It become all about each player griding their own stuff piece by piece.
