Zenimax, have you considered hiring competent programmers to fix the coding?

There are many ways to find competent programmers who can fix the various coding issues which lead to memory leaks and crashes. You can use "Want Ads"; you can use radio, television, and internet advertising. You can post help-wanted ads here in your forum. You can use Facebook and Linkedin. I would advise against Craigslist, though, as that must be where you found the programmers who put this game together (it hasn't worked out so well, has it?).

If you need any more suggestions, hit me up and I'll offer you some advice. Note, however, that competent programmers can command a salary commensurate with their skills.
The only substitute for victory is overkill.

Feel free to submit your resume for the job, since it's obviously an easy thing to do and you could do better.

Oh, I see. I have to be an expert programmer to complain about crashes and memory leaks. I guess I need to be an expert car mechanic to complain about maintenance problems. Carry on, genius.

One thing is sure, you don't need to be an expert to be a d'bag. Go back to your room kid

I am an expert programmer and I am pretty sure that the bugs are not due to low quality programmers but because they project managers neglected due diligency, probably because pushed by their bosses to tight deadlines.

Even using decent QA friendly procedures like Unit Testing, you can only get them as good as the time you are given to implement them well.

I don't doubt for a moment that ZOS has talented coders. In my line of work with large scale development, I'd sooner attribute the issues as have been demonstrated as more of a project management issue. Large scale projects can have all the talent you could ask for. But the project management has to work hard to keep every department working together in a manageable manner. Every department has to attend briefings from every other department. They all need to ensure they're using common conventions. Nobody should be able to deviate from convention without project approval. And project management can't make changes to convention until all departments are on board.

I wouldn't presume to point a finger at any one person or department. But as much as I like to defend ESO, from my background and experience, Project Management needs some tuning. Not necessarily (and unlikely) the programmers/coders.
