2 handed weapons and gear sets

Has anyone heard of any discussion to make 2 handed weapons count as two pieces for gear sets? As it is right now dual wield and one hand shield can have one more piece towards gear sets? I know its wishful thinking but figured I would ask.

Wont happen. As a long time user of 2h for my hunter, the greater damage you get is meant to offset the bonus of a double. They could <prepares flame shield> make it so the off-hand slot provides no set bonus <ducks>. It is a pretty big advantage, especially with the new set bonuses.0 -

well you also take more damage being in melee their are always checks and balances. I would really like to know if this seems like a good change or not.0 -
Tawniey✭✭✭I know this is kind of a necro-bump but I didn't want to start a new thread on the same topic when one already existed. Considering that this game's combat mechanic is so heavily tied to set gear, it is a bit of a weird thing that casters, bow users and 2h wep users will always be heavily limited.
I mean, yes, the maelstrom and masters weapons exist, but those exist for DW too. Saying this as a person who mains a DW/Bow character, here's what I see:
On my dual wield bar, you have 7 gear slots, 3 jewelry slots and 2 weapon slots. This allows for a 2 piece monster helm and two 5 piece bonuses. This means I can run dreugh king slayer, kena, and hundings all at once.
On my bow bar, I lose that second 5 piece hundings bonus in addition to the reduction of damage from swapping to my ranged weapon.
On my casters, they're limited to a 5 piece bonus, a 4 piece bonus and a 2 piece monster helm. Seems a little bit slanted in the direction of DW, does it not?[ESO-Database Profile] | [Ridiculous TES Musings]
