Still waiting on them polearms

I know ZOS has a lot on it's plate right now, but please tell me that the requests for polearm/spear weapons (and others like crossbows/unarmed) have not fallen on deaf ears. 2handed just isnt cutting it, I want something I can sweep and cleave my enemies with, and too few game developers even acknowledge the existence of the polearm these days.

I wouldn't hold my breath. There haven't been spears or polearms in an Elder Scrolls game since Morrowind.

How about in the meantime, we get prole arms? You know, broken beer bottles, sacks full of pennies, bicycle chains, that sort of thing.

We just saw tons of new armor and weapons outlined at Quakecon. Did you see any in those screenshots?

Yet there are plenty of NPC's fighting with spears and polearms in this game.

Yea, there's a few locations you can find npcs sparring with one another using what appear to be polearms (though really they're more like the high elf style staffs being used for melee strikes).

One of the devs said in an interview that there are no plans to add them any time soon. Never know though, if the desire is really there they might end up on the list.

True, but when I brought it up in a discussion with one of the ZOS reps they said they'd pass it along and were well aware of the number of people wanting those. They even asked what other weapons we'd like to see added.
