An Honest 'Transfer to Consoles' Question.

Ok, if I'm eligible for this deal and I would probably transfer a char over to my Xbox One.
What i'd like to know up front is....
If I decide the console version isn't for me would I be able to transfer my char back to the PC or would it be lost to the console forever?

✭The deal ended on the 30th. But to answer you, I doubt they'd allow back transfers. There will most likely be less downloads, more server side hot fixes due to how microsoft and sony work with their updates. There will be delays in the updates as well because sony and microsoft don't always sync up. Sony can take up to a month longer than microsoft.
When it's just on the PC, they can update to their heart's content, but when it comes to the consoles, updates aren't free and actually cost them money so depending how the game is doing financially, we may see a changet in the updates.
What I'm hoping is that they were smart enough to develop things separately and not force PC players to adhere to the schedules and politics of consoles. But I won't hold my breath. (some companies develop the systems identically across platforms so when you change one thing you have to change them all, it makes it harder for individual changes to take place that would benefit one platform over the other)Edited by Arsenic_Touch on July 3, 2014 5:55PM☠ Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured? ☠

a good question, but you have to remember that that decision would effect Xbox/PS4's profits too. this deal had to be specifically set up with them when ZOS realized there would be a push back.
My suggestion since there is so little information, for on a 2nd main character, to try out the console.
Of course there is the chance that you might not be bale to switch just one character, but will have to switch all. and there is no guarantee that you can do the transfer more than once, if you would like to commit the rest of your characters0 -

I'm guessing PC will be updated first and patched more frequently. The reason being is PC will always be the Beta Test before applying anything to the console version.I'm not prejudiced; I hate everyone equally !0 -
kitsinni✭✭✭✭✭Even in the Paul Sage interview he wouldn't even comment on when a console release might happen, wouldn't say a word about it at all. No one even knows if it will ever happen or much less any details about how it will work.
Like do you take your character, equipment, bank, skills .. will it even happen .. when will it happen etc.0 -

in comparison it will be a breeze for them to make a patch that is catored to fixing PS4 and XBO's only configuration0
