Man I miss them, even the buggy ones. For me, they added a really interesting game play. I miss them. I hope they are back in time for the new campaigns.

Limitless✭✭✭I think Zenimax will bring them back when they get fixed and modified to better match the flow of Cyrodiil, but there hasn't been any word on how or when it'll happen.When they get "fixed"

Personally I'd be happy without any mercs in cyrodiil, especially since the NPCs level has been increased to v5. The constant mage spamming was getting ridiculous, and even when it was patched some players managed to save a few and exploited the bug where they can be placed indefinitely for free as long as you place them on top of one another.
There's already enough PvE in ESO, no need to drag it down any further with more NPCs to kill while you PvP. The sole reason for NPCs in cyrodiil should be to make sure you can't solo group objectives...NOT to make PvE a key aspect of it.0
