Swtor had more endgame at 1.1 than eso, and a bigger patch at 1.2 coming...

Than eso did and it still failed due to lack of end game content.
In turn swtor IMO, was far superior, despite the engine problems, than eso.

I mean if swtor would have had eso engine technology, which to be fair is excellent in group pvp, then it would have won the challenge.

In any case I here rumours tha the next patch is not as big as craglorn, you call craglorn big, now if only wildstar would sort out that damn launcher bug it would be tat tar I'm sorry but the reviews are glowing so I'm off.

I keep reading that they run on the same engine, but from other posts, I read that they used the "hero" engine as a way to get the game going, then went on to build their own.

They have heavily modified it, but it is still the same engine under the layers. As such we are stuck with *** poor core usage.

No it didn't. It just had more single player content. Less endgame dungeons less interesting PVP. It also had the laggiest POS I have ever played.

    LOL. Simple and fair LOL.

April 2012 when I got SWTOR, the end game was pathetic.
Arena style PVP, in which many occasions was a dodge ball type match.

PvE end game was a repeat of the same quests, day in day out. And that is all.

On contrary, SWG was 10 times better game than SWTOR and is shame they closed it down, to lunch the later.

TESO is by far better game than SWTOR.

And to sum it up. WE WANT TO PLAY ELDER SCROLLS.
Fantasy hack and slash with good PvP and great lore.

Not sci-fi (SWTOR), nor faeries with bunny ears in space (Wildstar).

I personally think this is an issue with the players and not the games.

End game is something that has always slowly worked its way in and evolved as the game goes on.

A lot of players are playing games like WoW, which is already established .. has fixed most of its bugs / issues, and is doing little more than doling out content these days, but even WoW had a practically non existant end-game from the get-go.

Even if ESO had a raid like WoW, all people would do is complain that the content is repetitive, too hard, or only accessible to certain classes/builds.

I think part of the problem is the leveling curve. Its too small. The game hasnt even been out for two months, but many players easily have more than one 50+ char. In EverQuest it took most players 3 or 4 months to reach 50, and almost as long to gear up for the Nagafen/Vox raids.

Too much is spoon fed to players too quickly.. and they either devour the content or whine that it isnt fun, soloable, or worth doing for gear.

players nowadays would rage soooo hard if the leveling was slower...have you seen all the tears over Veteran questing? WHYYYY DOO WEE HAVE ALL THIS CONTENT TO GRIND THROUGH BEFORE WE CAN SAY WE'RE BORED AND LEAVING?!?!?!?!

It is one of the things WoW did to the competition. By the time they had and real competition they had taught everyone it should at most take a week to hit max level. So that is what all game designers do, because they have no choice. If they don't people will cry and quit. As a result, a week or 2 after the game, or any new content comes out, everyone is max level, bored, and heading back to WoW because they are programmed. And as a result there is no honeymoon in the game, where the designer has time to catch up after launch, it is make content or die.

But the players are complaining that the leveling is taking to long. ESO has been out for more than 2 months, I have 360+ hours playtime and only VR4.

I've never played EverQuest, but I'm pretty sure if Veteran Content had normal story that continued about us hunting Daedra in other Faction Lands, players would need between 6-12 months to VR10.

Right now they are quiting because leveling just takes to much time, it's to hard, and the story purpose why we're going there is very weak and not rewarding. Oh and I don't mind if MMO takes a long time to level to the highest level, I actually support that, but ESO did terrible story job with it.
