Any fix for "An error has occurred" ?

I am having great difficulty staying into the game, I am able to log in get to the character load screen select my character and then after a after a hour or s I get logged out and this message appears "An error has occurred. Please wait a few minutes and log in again"

I this happens every day, And the game crashes randomly. I have already run repairs from the launcher two times without any effect. And are not running Addons.

From my experience the dropping out of the game with the "an error occured" message with no further info added usually indicates that your internet connection drops sometimes or at least the connection to the ESO servers. It could be a router that is unstable causing it to drop connections randomly, or maybe something with your internet provider causing it.

its definatly not a Connection causing trouble since everything else keeps running fine.. And its happening a lot after last patch

I've had the same problem for 4-5 weeks. I get kicked around 30-40 times every day with that same message. First it begins to lag, then it just freezes for a minute or two until it kicks me out. I've been in contact with ESO customer service and they don't even know whats causing the problem. Even after ruling out that this is unrelated to my hardware or internet connection.

Its even worse then ever since Craplorn.. lagg all over the place. Large group bug. Mass DC's

Most likely and addon. This occured for me repeatedly until I tediously went through every addon I had and also ensured they were all up to date.

When this happend for me it was ESOhead and anything else associated with that addon.

LoL are you trolling? Doing a poor job there i dont use Addons.

Server: "I want to lag for a second, no wait... no I don't."
Me: "Oh thank goodness it's gone.."
Server: "Never mind now I do want to lag."
Me: *Logs out.

I have been having this same issue for some time now, few weeks also easily 5 to 6 weeks. I am not sure what is going on but it affects my torrent downloads also. It is as if something closes the ports or a range of ports I dont know, It fixes itself after a while. I lose connection to the sever even though my internet is fine, I can log in and get to character selection but then on load it just drops me with "an unknown error has occurred" and i dont use ESOHEAD at all. several other mods yes...but has any of you figured out if its an addon which addon it is? please advise...

there's nothing to do with addon. I used my phone to create a hotspot instead of using my home wifi. I can load my char smoothly. so it must be some thing related to ip/connection. One thing i still dont understand is that i have played 3 months without problem with same connection and same machine. never changed any connection settings. why it suddenly occurred to me?
