Bot army NEEDS Craglorn, what would they do when they reach VR10 otherwise.

VR bots farming in Coldharbour, keep working on Craglorn guys, this is more important, the bots wil hit VR10 soon, what will they do then??? There will be nothing to do in the game.

VR1 bots are training hard before the update. They have to be in top form before Trials:

Ban for breaking the terms of agreement, not char wipe. Make them pay for new accounts.

They want to make money on years of your hard work? Make them pay for it, make them pay as much as they manage, up to the point when they can't afford to buy new accounts anymore and stop making money on your software.

Coldharbour is no fun, it's a bot infested zone I thought I'll do a level there tonight, went to explore and run into a mob of bots, that's it for tonight, I have had enough fun...

It is not only Coldharbour... It is all over the game from starter areas to the end.
Z-max has lost control over their own game. Example:

Bleakrock Island. started a new Char and began harvesting.
Encountered hundreds of Bots. Reported, reported, reported,reported...

Found an area where there were only two bots were operating. Began harvesting nodes...it went well for about ten minutes...

bot-masters did not like it that I was "stealing" their nodes and suddenly there were eight bots running circles every ten seconds. Did not have a chance to get anything any longer.

State of the game... Who is actually owning it now? Z-max certainly is not any longer in control. To whom are we subscribed? Certainly not to the game creators... or was this the intention from the start..to fleece the players this way? Has the Mob taken the game over?

Something is really fishy and stinks ever increasingly. If the game creators can not take care of a few bots...then something is WRONG...or they simply do not care.

Quite honestly...I payed upfront for 6 month...now I see this was a MISTAKE!
I will play out my subscription and after that .... right.

Now GM's you can delete this post...You do not care... I do not care any longer either... To me ESO is a FAILURE!

To the OP, they do ban the accounts. It's not just a character wipe. When a GM comes on to get rid of them it is a permanent ban. Because its an ongoing issue you will always see bots in the game until people stop buying gold from them.

However I can't say I have seen anything as bad as this in a new MMO before. They can however implement a system to detect the use of third party programs used to setup a bot which can than auto ban the account. There will probably be legit accounts that get banned for not using a bot but they have a system inplace for you to follow to get your account back. If they program the system right tho the chances of that happening should be minimal.

Well, from the number of bots I see in the game people must buy gold galore. Who are these people buying the gold? Certainly not your average casual player....

They are doing what EA did with Battlefield 4, instead of fixing things marketing is shoving content updates down our throats while the roof is on fire.

Coldharbour looks far away from "they are banning the accounts". This is one of places where it looks like they ban nothing. VR1 chars? I'm playing it since early access and my char is lvl 46. VR1 is not a fresh bot created 3 hours ago...

It's not the gold people are buying it is crafting mats/motifs.

These bots send gold to a main account who then buys mats/motif's from normal players for a lot of gold then they sell the mats/motif's for real cash.

I have seen people wanting to buy motif's for 100K+ when you see that and think what normal player has 100K+ then you realise if you had 100's of bots running in CH for hours on end 100K is not alot to them.

(I am not saying there are players with 100Kg that got that ligit there are just not that many compared to the bot owner's.)

That is how they are making the money.

Bots cant enter VR zones. Because they havent completed the main quest lines.

Main quest lines should eb mandatory plus mandatory starter island.

Please stop with the stupid posts saying ZOS don't care. If you actually think they would work this hard to make the game then not care about the damage bots are doing to it then your a fool. They themselves have admitted they were caught off guard by the number of bots and gold sellers and are now playing catch up. Personally I'm not surprised they didn't anticipate this, this is probably the first MMO where I am left genuinely scratching my head as to why people are bothering to waste their real life money on gold. As someone above mentioned it seems though to be more about motifs and materials which I find incredibly sad that people would actually pay cash for.

I recall in wow some time ago a clever group of gold sellers found a way to create a bunch of toons and lay them on the ground in Orgrimmar spelling out a gold seller website. I imagine it isn't easy to combat that sort of thing, since they weren't in chat and they weren't doing anything but lay there. But they did stop it somehow and I've never seen it used since. So I cant quite figure out how this company can't combat something as straight forward as bots and gold farmers. And I don't see why I should spend my paid time reporting these things to them. I pay to play the game, not to tell them where their problems are. They should be aware of them by now and if they aren't, they must all be sitting around drinking cappuccinos andplaying Spider Solitaire...

Well, I AM very surprised. All of them would have to be very foolish people not to assume the existence of gold sellers, and equally to not assume they would want to make money out of this game. Its not like this is the first online game ever made, they have a history of such things to draw on. I don't know whether they care or not, I'm not privy to their feelings on the matter. I AM privy to the current results, and after weeks of this, where it doesn't seem to have gotten any better (in fact, its worse as the bots level up and move into other zones) Im beginning to wonder if they have the people capable of fixing it.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you but you are wrong, the only reason of this post was that I came across a group of VR1 Bots running a farm circle.

My post has been edited by ZOS and the links to videos containing VR1 bots farming in Coldharbour arent here on the forums anymore.

They care about innocent gamers that could have been cought in the video by mistake and I have been given warning that I might get banned form the forums.

It does not matter that there was no innocent gamers in the actual video because all of them were bots. Actually most of the population of Coldharbour on EU server after midnight is "Molag BOT Army"...

It's so annoying that this scum is being protected in the forums under: "..it could harm innocent players".

The funny thing is that I have made this post with a link to a video showing a group of VR1 bots farming, ZOS edited video links out saying innocent players could get hurt by being in the video by accident.

VR zones are empty.

Doing quests I often didn't see other players for 15-20 minute stretches. You know other players must be in the zone beause you see some long guy announcing that a zone boss or dark anchor is up. I thought the megaserver was supposed to dynamically slot a sufficient number of players to populate each shard. VR zones seem like the eso version of some ultra low pop realms in WoW.

Having the botters around might actually be positive for vr zones. But I jest quoting the banker.

Ok, so I went back to Coldharbour, Court of Contempt on EU server today and the same VR1 BOT GROUP is grinding the mobs in there. As it happens I have a quest to do there which I haven't finished yesterday because I got pissed of by these troll dungs.

I have been warned by ZOS employee within 8 hours that I will get banned for posting links to BOT videos in the forums, but the VR1 group is still farming there as it was 20 hours ago.

That's how good ZOS is at prioritizing things, good job, keep it up, ban all people from posting complaints about things that brake what they pay for and leave the bots alone...

I have always said it, the true culprits in all the bot thing are the lowlifes who buy gold online, and as long as the gold sellers have a *** buying gold, they have no reason to move along, making life a living hell for developers and players alike. The problem is that two things can happen if Zenimax follows the gold trail, they either ban whoever does big transactions, hurting real players (example you giving gold to a RL friend to jump start in the game), or they make gold sinks go away killing the absolute need for gold, which will only cause an inflation in which you will see items selling for millions of gold.

This really is a big problem but I blame the morons who buy gold.

Some design change decisions from ZOS actually lead me to believe that ZOS gets kickbacks from the gold sellers. I mean, who in their right mind would LOWER the drop rate of those motifs after a MONTH of an abusable game mechanic to farm them 24/7? And then even announce it in official patch notes that are 4+ weeks out? That just screams: "Put more bots/cheap labor players on motif duty", doesn't it?

At the same time, the gold sellers profit twice from that: Prices on those books skyrocket, so people start buying gold to buy them. Gold sellers not only sell the motifs but also the gold to buy them.

Simple logic that everyone with a pea of a brain could predict. But: Happened anyways, and exactly as predicted.

After it became obvious that the mechanic abuse existed and was extensively used, the right decision would have been to increase the drop rate to 100%. Every single crate should have dropped a daedric book. That would have prevented gold sellers.

I know now some people say "mimimi, they should be rare... etc.". Sorry, but that would have been the lesser of 2 evils. They could have even introduced new styles after the change that would then really be rare.

Ah well. Shovelled their own grave. Hope the kickbacks from the gold sellers were worth it (just my assumption)
