Read through the following questions. If you answer no to any of them then I thank you for your time but you're not what we're looking for.

Are you courageous?

I'm sure most think themselves courageous, but when push comes to shove many are afraid to play with anyone who doesn't have X stats and hasn't already done the content Y number of times. These people are most certainly not courageous, without a guaranteed win they aren't even willing to try.

Bravery is the defining characteristic of every member of KDD. If you're looking for a guild to faceroll content with then your search continues.

Are you wise?

There's a difference between being brave, foolish, and stubborn. A foolish man will charge headlong into any fight without regard to their chance of success. A stubborn man will bite off more than he can chew knowing that eventually they will get a meal, no matter the cost. A wise man chooses his battles carefully, weighing risk and reward alike.

In KDD we love a challenge and feel the greatest reward is in a victory hard fought, yet are not foolish enough to think we can win every battle, nor stubborn enough to drain our coffers pursuing an elusive twinkle.

Are you patient?

I've heard many people say how they are a very patient person before going on to immediately say something that clearly demonstrates they are not. Patience can be a rather ambiguous term, so I will specify exactly in what context I am referring to.

A patient person gives others the benefit of the doubt, yet being patient does not require one to be a door mat. A patient person is understanding of inconvenient actions of another person, if those actions are reasonable. If 4 people group up for a dungeon and 1 person announces they have to stop at the vendor first, vendoring is a reasonable action before joining the group at the dungeon. However, if three people are at the dungeon waiting on the fourth and that person announces they'll be right there just as soon as they finish this quest, that action is is most probably unreasonable.

As I mentioned earlier, patience is rather ambiguous, there isn't a clearly defined point at which patience becomes acquiescence. If I wait on you 1 minute I'm clearly being patient while waiting on you 30 minutes is just as clearly obsequious. Somewhere between 1 minute and 30 there is a point at which even a patient person has the right to take mitigating action, and while for different people that precise moment will surely differ, it should be firmly based on whether the actions of the other are reasonable.

It goes beyond simply waiting on another to arrive, patience is pervasive throughout every group interaction. If a tank is new to a fight, the group might wipe many times in a row while the tanks gets accustomed to the timing of a block. An impatient person will quickly become frustrated and assume the player lacks the skill required and insist they be removed, while a patient person will give them the benefit of the doubt and allow them a reasonable number of attempts.

Are you Courteous

Courtesy is merely considering how your actions affect others and refraining from imposing an unreasonable amount of inconvenience on them. If you join a group to do a dungeon and the other 3 members of the group are already in the dungeon, it would most likely be unreasonable for you to ask them to wait for you to finish a quest before joining them. There are always situations with extenuating circumstances, for example you might have been questing when a group asked you to tank a dungeon for them and you just have 3 mobs to kill before you can turn in a quest.

Still here?

As you might have noticed, courage and wisdom are two sides of the same coin, just as are patience and courtesy. On one side you have how your actions affect others, and the flip side how you react to other player's actions that affect you.

If you can honestly answer yes to the four questions above then you are just the type of person we want in the guild, yet the question remains, is KDD a guild you want to be a member of?

Knee Deep in the Dead

KDD isn't a guild merely for the sake of being a guild. I didn't just decide it would be fun to be a guild leader and randomly invite a bunch of people to lord over. It's quite the opposite actually, the entire purpose of KDD is to exclude people. I know exactly how I want to play ESO, and I know that it would be impossible with most people. Therefore I have to eliminate those people with whom it would be impossible from the pool of potential players.

KDD isn't a guild for just casual friends. I hope to make friends in the guild, but a friendly casual guild isn't the point at all. However, being friendly and casual most certainly doesn't exclude you.

KDD isn't a guild for elitists either. Being a superior player certainly doesn't exclude you, in fact, I hope to have many extremely proficient players among our ranks. However, an elitist attitude is not congruent with the ideals of the guild. In fact, if you are an elitist I don't think you can honestly get past question number one.

KDD is a guild of people that want to tackle the toughest challenges the game has to offer, but are more concerned with how they get there than whether they get there. I think a team of competent players can achieve any victory in any MMO, and I'd rather be wrong than sorry.

KDD is a band of misfits. A guild for the rest of us, who are tired of sitting on the sidelines. We don't want to take an overly optimistic plunge into certain defeat alongside anyone foolish enough not see the pointlessness. Nor do we want our leisure time activities to become a part time job, with our every action dictated by a tyrant.

KDD is a group of people that understand that you can be serious, fun, and relaxed all at the same time. People that don't find any more fun in storming through a dungeon completely unchallenged than in being repeatedly and relentlessly slaughtered time and again.

First Fifty are Free

Once we reach 50 members all future guild expansion will be by invitation only, require a probationary period, and will be subject to a member wide vote. This isn't a dictatorship, everyone in the guild will have as much say in what we do as a guild as anyone else. However, initially (for the first fifty people), I'll be deciding on who gets in, based by and large on if you can honestly and wholeheartedly answer yes to the questions above.
