msvcr110.dll missing?

femtecb16_ESO
I get this error message when trying to launch ESO via the launcher.
"The program can't start because MSvcr110,dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Last night I used the launcher to start the game without a problem...this morning this is the message I get. This is not the first time I receive it also...it seems to pop up on occasion. Is there a fix?

This is a Windows issue. See the article below on how to get this back. You can also google "msvcr110.dll missing" and visit several sites offering fixes for it.

Thanks for the link. I went ahead and downloaded and installed the 64bit version and that didn't work...then on another site it was mentioned to download and install the x86 version and it took care of the problem. (Something to do with which version was used to build the launcher?)

I have no idea why all of a sudden it stopped working and it did start normally if I chose to run as administrator, but I never had to do that before....but all is good now....hopefully it will stay that way.

Thanks again for your help and hopefully this will help others with the same issue

If files are mysteriously disappearing from your disk then its likely filesystem corruption is the culprit .. run a chkdsk on your OS drive and let it fix what it finds. Rerun it again periodically. If it keeps coming up with repairs then your hard drive may need to be checked out. If you are regularly taking hard crashes (BSODs/resets) then that is likely the source.

Thanks for the response, as a matter of fact I was getting the blue screen of death on occasion apparently due to a problem with my graphics card. I did update the driver for it last week and that could have caused the problem. However, when I received the error message saying the .dll file was missing I did a search and it was there, however it may have been corrupt. But yes, it is a good idea at this point to run a chkdsk as well as a scandisk to make sure all is ok.

    Thank again
