TESO Console Launch Pushed Back 6 Months

Not sure why anyone playing on PC would care about delay. Why would anyone want to move from PC to console?

Conole is basically a low to mid range spec PC. How are the big battles going to run on console? Will it even run at true 1080p @ 60 fps?

Also you can't use any mods and have to pay extra money to Microsoft don't you?

I just stream the game from my PC to my TV and connect a wireless Xbox controller. Basically turns it into a super console. Very nice for slack questsing on sofa if you have a big TV.

the good news to this is http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/news/post/2014/05/08/eso-on-consoles--update?ref=home they will at least let those who are playing the PC version but intend on going to console transfer their char. more then most company's give.

lowered price on the game for pc now makes sense ( or a happy coincidence).. with the twenty dollar transfer cost and another free month of service they come out pretty good…
nice to see a game company do this

The "lowered" cost is only on the physical standard edition. If you want imperial or digital you must still pay full price. once these boxes are gone they are gone.

I'm just pissed cus they've now basically said all you console people don't get the pre order bonuses and all the things like any race in any alliance etc this way... so they better find a way to fix that if they want me to not cancel all together

Better to wait and have a fixed game than get it early just for some crappy bonuses, no?

The best decision. ZOS don't need the bad PR a 'too early' console release would result in.

I'm going to point to the issues Beth had with Skyrim on Playstation (some on xbox) that games are sometimes harder to fix things on or put things on that PC. How long was it before Playstation got all the Skyrim DLCs and updates?

This game has plenty of bugs. Fixing them now rather than after a console release is probably a good thing. Honestly though...I am just as happy it is PC only now. No offense to the consoles (which I also have and play) but more people on the servers will make more issues.

However whoever they have in charge of PR and the release of info probably needs replaced because these things aren't being handled to mitigate damages.

PS4 and Xbox One will both have exclusive servers.

OK, thank you but I stand by what else I said.

I will be laughing if they tottaly destroy the console project xD

1.get the pre orderd console players to pc before they cancel pre order Make false promises.(get in the money while we can)

2.Delay the console release a bit longer to 8-9 months since they said we gonna need *ATLEAST* 6 months.

3.you got ripped off. Console aint coming due to not enough players to keep servers alive.

How i see it Console and PC/MAC are in the same boat if the one sinks the other one wil shortly follow. Only it aint gonna sink its gonna float lol

I paid 99.99 at game stop for my imperial all the bells and whistles with explorers pack at gamestop...for pc

My Bf could care less about the figures and all the shiny extras he wants to play and was waiting for console . ( I wont let him touch my pc ).

I got off work an hour ago stopped by gamestop picked up a copy for 39.99 off the shelf... 40 bucks.. he will transfer for another 20 .. total cost to him 60.

and he gets two months free game time.. one now one when he transfers. a 30 dollar value..

I think he made out pretty good... and he seems happy till they release it on his system. That is all that matters

oh and I gave him an explorers pack code ( I picked up a few copies when they had them on shelves for friends who were coming back from over seas as I stated awhile back in another thread) but that costs is on me I gave him the code.

    Ok console players...in unison now

THANK YOU PC PLAYERS FOR BEING OUR BETA TESTERS

You're welcome. I think we should also get compensated for all our QA work, assuming we hang for the entire six months. Like severance. If we stay for the entire time, we get the console game for free. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them cancelled altogether later on. However, they really should fix the "chevron-teaming" issue and the bots, not to mention add at least a faction-based auction house, before they launch the PS4 and XBoxOne versions of ESO.

After all, console players aren't even going to realize there's a $15 a month fee, never mind want to pay it with the way the game is now.

Well you can get it for 12 pounds if I understood the deal. And move your characters for free

Yes, the console versions of ESO have been put off for six months for sure. Here's the official article link off the launcher: http://elderscrollsonline.com/en/news/post/2014/05/08/eso-on-consoles--update?ref=rss

You can get the console version of ESO for $20 if you're a PC player by the end of this June, plus you can transfer your character over and get a month of play free besides. That's a sweet deal.

They should let PC players copy their characters to the console versions for beta testing, whenever that will be ready.

I wouldn't be surprised at all... They're losing massive numbers right now alone, there's no way that they will be getting enough players on the consoles to cover the costs of running it.

I see a port cancel, a f2p announcement, and the rollout of some weird pay-to-access cash shop in the very near future.

It's a nice that they are giving people the option to transfer their PC characters to the console version. But I want the console experience from the start...I want to enjoy it the way I like. And that is not inn front of a keyboard & mouse.

So a nice thing but I'll just wait six months or so. Got loads of games out and coming for the PS4 to keep me busy for a long long time :)

Just curious where you get your "facts" about massive amounts of people leaving? please do not say the forums here. There are only about 30,000 posts total for the entire thing. Even if every single one was a quit posts thats hardly massive considering they sold about 1.5 million copies.

Funny how you're saying the word "fact" when you throw out a random number like 1.5 million with no proof to back it up...

You see it in the reviews, on guilds forms and websites, here on the forums, in-game with people leaving and complaining. This game is crashing harder than SWTOR did, and you have some serious rose tint going on if you don't see that.

Ignorance is bliss and plentiful in the PC gamer community, that's all I ever get proven in all these threads. If DC Universe is doing just fine on consoles, so will ESO.

    Port will not be cancelled.
