Entering Cyrodiil, redundant checks?

Ever notice that in order to enter Cyrodiil you need to go through so many checks, anyone else think this is a bit much?

Press L
Choose your campaign home/guest
Enter queue
Get a notification if you want to enter queue
Confirm you really want to enter

Surely there is a much more efficient way than this? If I have clicked a world to enter then I should already be added to the queue without having to confirm it. When Cyrodiil is ready do I really need to enter my notifications to confirm it? What is wrong with having a pop up on screen when it is ready? Like when you get a trade or group request, having a choice between "enter pvp" or "re-enter queue" if you are in battle or trading, whatever. If you want to leave the queue 'then' you enter your notifications and leave from there instead. I do not pvp often but I can only imagine if that I find it long-winded to enter it which should be a simple 2-3 clicks rather than 7-8 then I can only imagine what it must be like for players who pvp everyday.

Thoughts?

Yeah. I agree. That system is clunky at best. I wouldn't press [L] to put that UI up and then go to the campaign category and pick one and then confirm it two times.

Um... I think you're forgetting something.

Your two Alliance entrance bases don't just have Transitus shrines, they also have Wayshrines.

Once you've added the Wayshrines to your map, you can go into your alliance campaign by going to any Wayshrine and selecting one in Cyrodiil. You don't need to go through any other steps after you've been through the original steps once.

So no, I don't really think that we're talking about a particularly onerous set of steps to get into a campaign for the first time.

This is the "Do The Hokey-Pokey" school of needlessly complex UI design.

If that works, thats great.... but does it work for guesting? :)

Honestly? Well truthfully I aint done player vs player yet as I have misgivings about my current hardware but what I think is its not exactly strenuous to click the mouse button 7-8 times. I suppose you are complaining about the needlessly complicated [in your view] process of entering PVP but the reality is clicking the mouse button 7-8 times is not all that much more of a chore than doing so 3 times. Your argument is a non starter. Being able to enter PVP from anywhere is more desirable than having to say, go to a stable, find the right zone and purchase a ride to it. [like you do in an MMO I can think of] Hell you may even have a point but then that is for the games developers to decide.

It does not need to be 7-8 clicks is the point, it does not cause me stress to click more, I just like efficiency is all. The forums are designed for discussion, hence discussing it and maybe the devs will look into it :)
