Crashing when clicking "Play"

I have seen this issue posted before, and read many threads about it. Most advice given seems to be:
My game has been working since the public betas, and I have never suffered this particular crash before.
I was tinkering with the .ini file and installed sweetfx, which apparently has lead to this crash, but have since removed sweetfx and reverted the settings of the .ini file to the default settings (as found in the pinned thread of known pc issues).
- Run as administrator
- Run in compatability mode
- Do a repair
- Update graphics drivers
- Change from d3d11 to Opengl in the .ini file
