Bat swarm even at 20 ulti cost isnt OP its a good anti zerg tactic. All u gota do is move outside of the aoe and nuke doen the vamp.

Bc of the babies crying vamp is getting nerfed to hell. This game is gona turn into zerg v zerg if they keep nerfing all the good aoe builds. Its the onky defense against 50 man zergs (except for bigger zergs).

This game shouldnt honor zergging no good guild groups die to ulti spamming vamps. I tried it on entropy risings group the other day and got wtfpwned. They all moved out of aoe, Cced and nuked. It not that hard newbies learn to pvp this vamp 7% cost reduction nerf and aoe nerf r gona ruin this game.

Vamp shoukd be at least 50% cost reduction at stage four. That barley offsets the 50% dmg ur taking from fire and fight guild abilities. Even in mist form ur still taking 38% dmg from fire and cant get healed....

Reconsider Vampire nerf. Nowhere near extreme enough. One skill line should not be so powerful it creates a class on its own. It should be no more different than picking up a 2-handed sword in terms of effect.

And Stage 4 effects should have extreme disadvantages. You're a ravening beast whose humanity is all but consumed by burning hunger. You are a monster. You should be attacked on sight in a city, not left free to patiently queue at the teller's window along with the rest of us.

If people want to be vampires, let them. But people don't. They just want to be a super-class.

The whole vampire thing, IMHO, was badly misjudged pop-culture, 'wouldn't it be cool', pandering.

Whaaat are you saying? Vampires have to feed? Such a frivolous lie! I want to be a stage 4 nuking machine that does not suffer any consequences! My built evolves around the whole idea that I can wipe entire zergs unless it's the ,best' guild in this game.

Now you destroyed with your crying my whole gaming experience! *rage quit*

And Stage 4 effects should have extreme disadvantages. .

They do, it's called a 75% hit to your health regeneration meaning you basically get 0. There is also the major vuln to fire.

Vamp is hardly an "I win" button.

It was at first, but isn't anymore.

edit: if you were dying to a vampire ultimate, L2P, you weren't dying because the vamp ult was OP.

No nerf them more. Vampires should be attacked by townsfolk in towns, burn in the sunlight, and be able to be killed by player npcs and respawn cured of vampirism. I mean I go into town...every other player is a vaqmpire...and they are just chatting away with NPCs like "hey NPC do you not notice the person in front of you is a gods forsaken bloodsucker!!??" Lets be honest, infinite healing 75% reduced damage coupled with CC immunity and a bonus 50% damage mitigation if you were low, the trade off being a fire resist ring and 25% health regen when 2/3 of their actives heal them? 1 being an unbreakable cc? no that wasn't overpowered

The ult wasn't over powered being able to keep it up in definitely was, the only way to kill someone who was using it was to Silver bolts them to death from ranged and hope that no noobs ran into the ult (which they always did) 1 button shouldn't turn you into an almost unstoppable killing machine, vampire should be play style choice not a min/max choice.

It got a justified and balanced nerf, now its about preference not necessity.

I truly understand that vampires were OP in pvp and that should've been addressed but, to take the skill lines ability reduction from 60% to 21% at stage 4 is extreme. With only two active abilities in the entire skill line this was a bad move on the devs part. The weaknesses of the vampire skill line are very severe as is, at stage 4 you have 75% less health regen not to mention the extra 50% fire damage they take no matter what stage you are in.

Granted the ultimate shouldn't be so OP that everyone feels the need to be a vampire for victory in pvp. There does need to be a balance but, not only did the last patch try to correct their ultimate for pvp they essentially the broke the skill line for pve use. It is one thing to balance a skill line, and entirely another to make it obsolete.

Stage four is not supposed to be a good thing.
So go feed already. That's what Vamps do, they attack people and 'vuck de blud'
Sorry you feel nerfed beyond play. But try being a Lycanthrope. Has not worked right since beta, and no fix in sight.
You had your fun in the sun, now realize Vamp is just supposed to be a novelty line, not an ultimate killing machine.

The only thing that pisses me off about the vampire changes is that Dark Stalker still requires a relog or rezone after death. They nerf the *** out of the skill line but don't fix any of the bugs while they're at it.

They literally ruined the vampire skill line. It is USELESS considering that almost none of the passives work. Even with the passives it is, again, USELESS since the mana costs are outrageous. They should've just removed the skill line from the game while they were at it. Terrible decision.

So because Vampires can't tank against 50 players now, it's useless? And your logic is because extremely overpowered abilities should exist to avoid zerging? All other players who choose a different path, it's their fault for not choosing to exploit overpowered skill lines, right?

If your goal is just to exploit the game to get the highest rank, then we won't miss you.

Nerf the vampire more. Buff Silver Bolts. Buff Werewolf.

This is classic official forum topics of exploiters. Starcraft 2 players said that Terran wasn't overpowered because everyone can choose it. By that logic, we should all choose Orc, DK, Vampire. Now doesn't that sound fun? Much better than Zergs, right...?
If people want to be vampires, let them. But people don't. They just want to be a super-class.

Could not be a more accurate statement.

NPCs cannot recognize vampires until stage 3/4, this is basically in the damn lore.

By the way, there were hardly any changes to the Vampire for patch 1.1.2. The only changes mentioned were Bat Swarm can't go through walls anymore, and the Passives were fixed. All other changes that affect you exploiters was done to shield and bash abilities.

I love this community. Just because I like vamp, I'm a 'troll', 'drunk', 'exploiter', etc.

Being able to constantly use Bat Swarm is a bit much, and that needed to be fixed. I would like to see the lore followed more closely though. Use a vamp ability, or walk in to town at stage 3/4, every NPC should be nuking you with silver bolts, same with WW.

Stage 3/4 burn in sunlight? Absolutely... mist form + drain, deal with it.

Vamps and WWs are legendary creatures. Yup, they're pretty ***' powerful, yup they're OP.... that's what happens when you make deals with god(s). I would like to see 'silvered' weapons though.

Oh, and if you see a stage 4 super killing vamp machine with bats out... probably best not to get too close. Just a PSA for those of you who haven't figured that out yet.

All you ever had to do was slot and lvl up a fire ability and have the "Fighters Guild" passives maxed out to pwn any vampire anywhere at anytime through the history of this game. Like aidevelopmentb16_ESO says above, all you have to do is avoid ultimate AOE's. Simple stuff, don't stand in the red. Derp.

Vampirism use to be balanced quite well, but they were always easily beatable. Everything worked fine. The problem might have been say, Dragon Knights, Templar abilities that were OP to begin with and exploited. Those needed fixing, and vampires were fine.

All the whining people cried and moaned when they died to a vampire ability, not because it was OP, but because they were beat fair and square. Someone called the waaaambulance and ESO unfortunately responded with "there there now little baby, here's your pacifier" and held those babies firm to their breasts, "vampires have been destroyed in the game just for you little baby".

Don't blame ESO because you forgot to slot a fire ability and lvl fighers guild passives. This whole string of nerf's was due to noobs whiners and ESO's inability to see the math for what it was. As is the case with most MMO creators.

Why do I say that? simple, when you get into a raid group the first thing they ask is, are you a vampire? if so, bye bye, you are kicked. Everyone with half a brain knows vamps are a liability in any fight because there is fire everywhere just for the purpose of wiping vamps out.

Vampires were always gimmick anyway. Now they aren't even worth that. Do yourself a favor if you are a vampire. Get rid of it, it's dead and will stay that way.

I assume that Fire Resist must be capped because even at Vet 4 with 3 pieces of fire resist jewelry totaling 3,000 my vampire is still regularly and quickly slaughtered in PvE by dungeon bosses using any sort of fire abilities. All my points are in Health and I'm wearing Vampire's Kiss and Song of Lamae, at least the former of which also gives you Health bonuses. I eat purple foods as well. My guild had a group of 4 doing an undaunted pledge at Vet level 1 the other day and there was an arena scenario with multiple fire beetles and 3 of us were down almost instantly. And repeatedly. The one non-vamp in the group finally finished the fight in about a half hour by themselves just kiting and doting while the rest of us just layed around and watched. At this point we all just laugh about it but yeah, the topic of, "This is why none of us can get in a PUG or manage to make it through a dungeon together," DID come up. Oh and I was Stage 1 going in but due to lack of feeding opportunities (common in dungeon runs) was well into Stage 4 by the time we finished.

I don't use add-ons to run the actual numbers but several people have mentioned that the passives are broken and that even our already gimped Health regen is broken as well. I'd like to see that investigated by ZoS.

Perhaps vampire SHOULD be a class rather than a skill line. I don't know. I understand they are supposed to be a "novelty" but that shouldn't equate to them being unplayable in PvE. And that is EXACTLY what they are ANY time there is fire damage involved....and ESO seems to really love their fire damge dungeon bosses and other denizens.

I think it's indifference. I really do think vamps and weres were an afterthought that only came in when someone told them they couldn't make a credible Elder Scrolls without them. If we attempt to see it from the devs point of view, vampires have been no end of grief for them. It's their own fault, a half@$$ed (half fast too thanks to one of the nerfs) implementation has its price.
