Infinite loading PvP

EVery time i try to load into PvP it goes to infinite load. It wasn't always like this just recently;y. Any news.

I have this exact same issue. It seems to happen nearly 100% of the time the first 2-3 times I try to use a transitus shrine after logging in the first time that day. After it gets stuck a couple times and I close the game after waiting for a while, eventually the load will actually work. But, I haven't found any other rhyme or reason to it yet beyond that.
Similar to the OP's comment, it seems to have started happening more and more over the last week or two. It certainly has happened to me before that, but seems to be happening way more often now.
I'd like to add that in the last week or two, there actually have been three or four instances of this feedback loop happening for 15-20 minutes, at which point I've given up and just not played ESO that day.Edited by locovalue_ESO on May 2, 2014 1:44AM0 -
My guess is just high traffic to that area. I've come across a few loading screens that seem to inf. loop, and I usually wait about 5 minutes then close out of the game completely. The start it back up from the patcher and try again. usually works.0

Pyr0xyrecuprotite✭✭✭✭✭I've also noticed this issue this evening, trying to do the Welcome to Cyrodiil quest (EP), in the 2nd campaign in the list (forget the name - couldn't get into the top campaign). When using the transitus shrine to go to the other entry zone keep, it just stays on the loading screen...... I have to close the game (Alt-F4), restart and then I arrive in the correct new location that I wanted to go to. I hope this issue is fixed before I get into the PvP stuff for real.
- Note: I did the same Welcome to Cyrodiil quest with an Aldmeri Dominion alt yesterday, and did not have any problems. It may be specific to certain campaigns, alliances, and/or transitus shrines. Or just an intermittent problem.0 -
I'm not sure I'm warming to the high-traffic excuse.
The whole PR spiel about having a megaserver seems to have been a lot of hot air, imo. What do we gain from a megaserver over the normal ones, and why should it take 2-5 times longer to load into a zone than in other games?
I can only seem to get into Cyrodiil in the morning and afternoon hours, but once it hits 8 p.m. or later, all bets are off. Streaming the newest episodes of the Walking Dead or some live twitch feed is faster.0 -
