Unable to play the game since maintenance 29/4 EU *SOLVED*
Hi all!
So I've tried all day after the EU server went up again after maintenance ended, I have no problem logging in however when I choose my character and it loads (logged out in couldharbor, if it matters) it just crashes to login screen and says:
*Error* "an error has occurred. try again in a few minutes."
and no error code is given.
I've tried to play several times in a row, to no avail and I've also tried to wait for hours between attempts...
Also it might be worth noting that the 'crash' occures when the loading screen to Couldharbour has been loading a short while ie. after character load has occured...
don't know what to do, please help.

ZOS_AmeliaR✭✭✭✭✭If you haven't already, try closing out of the game and launcher completely. If after doing so you encounter the same issue, try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't work either, update us here and we'll investigate further.0 -

I have tried your suggestions more then one time each during the day but that's also the limit of my knowledge on how these things may be resolved.

✭✭Try running the repair program from the launcher ?So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.0 -

Have you tried to make a new character to verify if it is character/zone related or not?
(If it works and you can log in with a new character it would hint at that it is nothing wrong with your account/installation)0 -
FegefeueR✭✭Don't be too much pissed, you don't miss alot, just Lag, unknown Disconnects, disappearing Notes and Quest Items - which force you to relog all day and some unbalanced PvP crap.1 -

It seems it's not zone related as my new char also can't load

HandofBane✭✭✭✭May sound odd, but are you using any addons? Some may require updates to run properly, and *can* cause the game to fail to connect properly after character select. Myself and several other people had this problem related to the ESOHead/MapMarker addons, and I believe someone else reported such crashes tied to a Library-related addon.
May not resolve your issue, but it can't hurt to try just in case.0 -

It was in fact ESOhead that had stopped working for some reason... and no update avaliable, so just disabling it made everything work

GossiTheDog✭✭✭✭✭Yes, ESOhead is one of the addons which breaks spawning. (It was also the culprit of the FPS issues a few weeks ago, until they updated it).0
