About us

TERROR is an established Hardcore PvP community that has been around for 6+ years. Our main focus is PvP with an emphasis on Open Field fighting, focusing on synergy and communication. We favor quality over quantity, limiting our raid roster to about 20 people. This allows us to focus on strategy, rather than just dumping sheer numbers on the enemy. If you think you're up to being a part of TERROR, please check out the application.
What can we offer you?

-A reputation of excellence and an environment where you are challenged to be your best.
-An established guild culture that revolves around continuous player improvement, a focus on PvP combat and strategy, and long-standing friendships. Anyone who knows us knows we have the most fun possible and it isn't always serious.
-Very loose guild Hierarchy, allowing everyone to take on a leadership role. Everyone has a say in everything.
-We can teach you effective strategies and tactics we've developed over the years that don't rely solely on pure manpower.
-We have active discussions on our forums, going in depth with builds and strategies, keeping our members up ahead of the curve.
-A tight knit community, built from the ground up, allowing everyone's actions to be noted, and allowing everyone to get to know each other.
Application Process

To ensure you aren't wasting your time and ours, please keep in mind that only serious applications will be considered. Once the form is submitted, your application will be reviewed, and you will be notified with our decision. If you are accepted, you will be placed as a trial member for 2 weeks, while you are being evaluated by your peers. You will be notified with our decision at the end of the trial period, or sooner.

-PvP is the guilds primary focus, we expect our members to have the same priority in game.
-You are expected to display a high level of talent and mastery of your class and role.
-We discourage fairweathers. If you actively display signs of it, you will be dismissed from planet TERROR.
-Ability to display maturity when necessary. We like to have fun, it's a game, we don't like going full *** during casual time in the guild. If you are trolled easily this is not the environment for you. Members must be able to accept constructive criticism and not get offended easily.
-Be willing to listen to directions from the active commanders in the guild during our activities.
-TeamSpeak3 and a Microphone are requirements.
Our Chapters

Runes Of Magic (2008-2010) Ch1

This is the origin of TERROR, a small griefing havoc team in Runes Of Magic, where the balancing was terrible, but the satisfaction of ganking and looting was all the rage. With a small core of 8 people, we managed to pick up the title of Most Hated PVP guild on the Indigo. Our motto for the game was "The only way out of the game was with a ban." Which, with the help of the Indigo community, ended up happening, ending the first, and definitely not last chapter of TERROR.

Rift (2010-2011) Ch2

Rift came along, and we decided on taking a more serious approach in running a guild. We rolled on Emberlord as Guardians, and opened up recruitment, letting our roster grow quite a bit. The guild took a turn and dipped into both PvP and PvE content. We ended up getting through the first raid, 2nd clear on the server, and topping the server first leaderboards on zam for a good while. The PvP in the game grew old, and became very stale because of the lousy balancing and lack of attention the devs were giving us. So our time on Rift was cut rather short, and we ended up branching off until we came back together for Guild Wars 2 a year after.

Guild Wars 2 (2012-2014) Ch3

We started up our most recent chapter of TERROR on Guild Wars 2 under the tag [TG] on the Borlis Pass server. We quickly grew to be the top WvW guild on our server at launch, and were known to be one of the guilds ahead of the curve. Shortly after launch, we realized that Borlis Pass isn't where we want to be, because they didn't have the competitive mentality we were looking for, so we hopped servers, looking for a place that would give us what we were looking for, great open field competition. After 6 months of searching, we decided that Dragonbrand was the place. We rode it out on DB, gained great members, and were the top WvW guild on the server. Then Wagonbrand happened and the server imploded, slowly dropping us down in tiers. Our current matchup just wasn't going to be providing us with what we wanted, so we decided to transfer to Maguuma, where what we thought was the most stable server in NA. With the transfer, we slimmed down our roster from what was 150 people, to about 50 people, and ran about 20-30 daily. We dove right into the 15v15 GvG scene, and with the support of the guilds residing on Maguuma, we ended up placing as #9 GvG guild in North America. Shorty after that, on March 12, we announced our leave from Guild Wars 2, in preparation for Elder Scrolls Online.
