Is it still possible to obtain bonus items from Explorer Pack?

I just found out today about the Explorer's Pack which included a vanity pet and some treasure maps for those who pre-ordered which I would like to have for my character but I didn't start playing until 4/13 and bought the digital imperial edition. Seeing that Explorer Packs are being sold on Ebay would I still be able to redeem the code for it on an account which is attached to an already existing game (imperial edition) or would I have to download the physical version (Explorer Pack) to be able to get the bonus items? Assuming that I can still receive these items.

You can't get the Explorer's Pack from Zenimax anymore, that required pre-purchasing the game. Players that have an unused Explorer's Pack code should still be able to redeem it (see this Reddit post), but it's pretty risky buying something like that on Ebay, you have no guarantee that it hasn't already been used.

Isn't the code located inside the box itself? Also, if the code has been used before it would just get rejected right? Not like I'm going to be wrongfully obtaining duped items or anything I hope if the code is accepted. It's nice to know that it 's still possible to get these though. Thanks for the information.

If the codes were already used, it would tell you they were already used. And they are not on the box itself, they are little inserts along with the game disks.

You're right, the Explorer's Pack code was in the box; I must have gotten that confused with some other code (probably the early access codes that were sent via email). It's odd they describe that as a pre-purchase bonus when it's really more of a first-wave-of-game-boxes bonus.

I still think it's risky buying something like that on Ebay, but I hope it works out for you.

I do believe there was an overabundance of these codes. The store I bought mine from gave me two sets (one which will remain unused).

There is also a store still selling just the codes as dlc.

Other than that I imagine ebay or other various sources will have it available.

Honestly ZOS should have just made it as an official dlc, they could have profitted from it and new players would not be missing out on any content.

You can add the codes at any time, there is no announced expiration for them.

I was at wal-mart earlier and they have boxed copies of the game with a sticker that says "Explorers pack code included". Check stores before you risk getting scammed.
