COD Gold Amount Lingers in Subsequent Messages and Defaults to 'Send Gold'

I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice this, but...
When sending a piece of in-game mail with COD enabled, the gold amount entered does not clear after the letter is sent. Not only that, but the sending option actually reverts to Send Gold.
That means if you send mail with COD of 1000g, your subsequent letters are automatically set to send 1000g to recipients.
As a player who frequently sells items through COD, it is incredibly annoying.
This oversight really needs to be fixed.

@Harkrider No it doesn't... what lingers is the text but if you send a message without changing it, it WILL NOT send that gold.
The back end of the UI reads it as 0 despite displaying incorrectly. Still a bug, but less hazardous than you thought

Ooooh really? That's really good news.
I had come to accept that I probably mistakenly sent off at least a few thousand gold since launch due to my own inattentiveness and not switching it back.
Have you tested this yourself? -
Yes I have with a RL friend I could "persuade" to send the gold back if it did in fact send gold :P

Thanks a ton! I still wish the setting didn't revert to Send Gold, though.
I've COD'd hundreds of items, but only sent gold a single time.
