COD Confusion - Sending Gold instead of asking for COD

I sometimes SEND gold accidentally with an item I sold instead of COD because I put in the item, then put in the COD price, but forget to click on "COD"

And I know I am not the only one, because many times have I received an item along with gold attached to it instead of it being a COD. I always return that gold back to the sender, but am sure not everybody is that honest

Anyway I think sending mail interface should somehow be redesigned to fix this issue

I think the worst part is that after sending mail as COD, the option reverts to Send Gold for subsequent letters. It must be manually changed back to COD. Not only that, the gold amount remains in the field.

So if you send an item with COD of 500g for your first letter, the next piece of mail defaults to sending 500g to your next recipient.

It's a horrible oversight.

There should be separate boxes for entering money to send and for COD amounts.

I think that little change would be enough to prevent the mistake of sending money when you meant to COD.

Yeah its a awful system. I once sent 4 Motifs. Not only did I lose the motifs but about 5k gold as well. Bet the receiver who obviously didn't have a shred of decency was happy.

I think a lot of things in ESO where after thoughts, rushed or just poorly thought through. The whole mail, guild, trade systems are very poor.
