BETHESDA/ZENIMAX PS4/XBOX DID YOU FORGET US?????

Bethesda, Zenimax whoever is launching the console versions why isn't there any news about the PS4 and/or Xbox One release or at least a beta?? Why aren't you keeping your fans updated as to what is going on? I'm a loyal customer to Bethesda have been playing since Marrowind and onto Oblivion and Skyrim, and not to mention I purchased the ESO Imperial Edition (mac) to hold me over until the PS4 version launches. However the lack of communication from you is just ridiculous to say the least.

I understand you a lot of issues with the PC version, but don't leave your most loyal fans in the dark. Let us know what's going on. There are rumors going around that you may not continue with the console release; with the lack of information about the release makes this more of a reality and it's starting to concern me.

I can't play this game on a PC/Mac I want my console back. I upgraded to the PS4 mainly for this game and few others so please don't disappointment the console fans out there. Give us an update please let us know, I’m a afraid to pre-order the PS4 game because of the lack of communication.

Best regards

A loyal fan ☺

Totally agree information equals nearly zero for the xbox one or ps4 version if they could even say an exact launch date that would be awesome :-)

Comment of a loyal fan too :-D

My guess... The consoles will get 2 to 3 weekend betas like the PC did leading up to release, and like the PC they will probably announce it the Tuesday before the beta is to happen (The PC Crowd never got more advanced notice than that). Probably a couple in May and one in June before release.

If they stick to a June release date I would not expect before Tues, June 24th.

Its highly likely the console version will be cancelled.

Console version is still happening, supposedly out before fall this year.

Before people start posting 'it's likely cancelled' maybe you should provide proof to this instead of spreading rumours, seeing as there is no info on it being cancelled, i would say that it is still going to get a release until we hear otherwise on the official forums.

I always got the feeling it would be a single XBO and single PS4 mega server.

Its going to be empty on those servers, especially after one month when console gamers realize is p2p

I know tons of console gamers (myself included) that have no issue with the P2P model :) And are excited for launch.

This is where they need to do what Square Enix are doing and allow one account to be billed for Console/PC Access. Even though it is different servers for ESO. I would buy the game again if I knew it would be one monthly sub fee and I could play on either platform

But although their is no proof the console version will be dropped, I have this nagging concern we will see a "Decision to focus on the PC only" statement in the next few weeks

I had the ps4 variant pre-ordered until I saw the "separate account/separate billing" faq and said no way. add separate servers so you all should get separate forums?

Where are you getting this from? Retailers have been taking preorders for months now on the Xbone and PS4. They've presumably already got the console versions mostly finished just based on the PC's Consolized UI. They're not going to walk away from millions upon millions of dollars because of some problems on the PC version. If anything this game will be more successful on consoles than PCs, it just feels very much like it was designed primarily with consoles in mind.

Did you read what I said?

"Although there is no proof" ?

I'm going with a feeling. Along with my Pre-Order for Age of Conan on the Xbox 360 I still have my receipt for when I got my pre-order money back

I think its great they introduced a PC version of Elder Scrolls it can't touch the console versions at all. I made this discussion in the hopes that they will give us some updates because they are getting a lot of anxious console fans out here.

I'm just curious where this is coming from, not just you but others in this thread. I understand cynicism, but this has warped into a primarily console series...the money is just too good to ignore. What happened with Funcom isn't really even remotely similar.

Absolutely! From the getgo I have been looking forward to the Xbox one (in fact a big part of why I bought one). Hoping I can yell "Ultimate" at the Xbone and utilize other voice commands

Just this silence is deafening and not reassuring

Yes true but me along with others i'm sure will cancel thier PC subscription as soon as the game hits consoles. I'm not paying for two accounts, just have to pay for two versions of the game and that is something that i completely understood when i purchased the PC/Mac game.

I think it just comes from cynicism on what publisher/developers promise and then don't deliver. If Zenimax was on the ball, they should hype the console version with the wave of the PC Release. Much like they did FOR the PC release.
I'm not a marketing guru, but I do know the gaming community is a fickle lot and we have short attention spans. When a Developer/Publisher have great stuff to share they flood us with it. When it goes all quiet it usually doesn't bode well. You can bet they are analyzing subscriptions and how the game is doing for the PC and calculating continued console development costs vs interest and success of the current version

Then for the Xbox version we have the painful reluctant giant called Microsoft who insist their way or no way. I would see a PS4 version out before the Xbox One purely because of contractual gymnastics required with the big M and the Live service

I hope all us cynics are wrong and we can be laughed at when both versions come out ... we shall see..

Yeah because xbox gold subscribers are clearly against having to pay a monthly fee to play online...

PS4 players DO NOT need to pay a subscription per month to play this game other than the one imposed by Zeni.

But it is true Xbox owners have their monthly fee for gold + the cost of this per month. However if they are already paying their gold subscription I do not see why they'd be so against paying anything extra on top.

It's Microsoft's fault not Zeni's, maybe Microsoft should look at how Sony are doing it!

Yeah because Zeni want to throw away possibly billions of extra coins that could be made from consoles....

Consoles make up the majority percentage of sales made on Skyrim, PC only sold 14% the rest went to the consoles...

    Why would they cancel it?

Actually, that is not how business models work. They will look at how much money has already been dropped into development. Assess the future development costs and weigh in forcasted revenues (based on public interest, working maintenance costs on the now live PC version etc etc) to predict by calculation, profits. A projection will be calculated over a set number of years and THAT is what they base decisions on. Not just yanking a number out of thin air.

I think Sony actually took Microsofts way. It looks like you need PS+ to multiplay, but not sure as don't have one
