PLEASE HELP ME (port forwarding)
SO ive finally made headway with the update. everything is up to date. now im in Xfinity Admin Tool adding ports, but when im prompted for an ip address all i can think of is 10.0.0.1, what is the ip address i need to get to or put in?

Valethar✭✭✭✭I'm guessing you're doing port forwarding? Look in the router for the DHCP client table or something similar. Somewhere in there should be a listing of all devices currently connected to the router. Each will have it's own IP address. The one that corresponds to your computer is the one you need to use.

so im getting iPV4 is 10.0.0.xx and a Mac Address iPV6 doesnt show but seems to be the one connected. it has an option to edit

Valethar✭✭✭✭Nothing in there that looks like 192.168.x.x instead? With a list of device names after each address?

no not at all, only ips are Wan and a weird set of them starting in 225.225.xxx

Saerydoth✭✭✭✭Port forwarding is completely unnecessary, it will not help at all with lag. In fact, it won't actually do anything. Hopefully you just got the terminology wrong and meant QoS instead of port forwarding. Port forwarding is needed when you want to host a server on a machine you own, behind NAT. -
Im trying to log in. i have a fully patched game and everything is fine, but i cant play the damn game and a GM suggested to open ports to let me play.

got the ports open by reserving IP address, restarted, refreshed connection, and no avail. still timed out. not a #301 error
