Hi, i'm your paying customer.

This might be a weird concept for you bundled companies trying to deliver a product, but i'll help you through it:

My name is [Paying Customer] and i have given you my money. In addition i give my money to you monthly... Or better said, i paid you guys for a game + 30 days but had to add 30 days before i could use the ones i already bought (makes sense right?).

As i paying customer i enjoy the game, no doubt there even with the bugs yet i'm at the point of accepting my loss. I don't know what is wrong with your development team but as a game developper i'm just dazzled by how patches are brought to live and how your beta base intel never got used for improving your game.

I can rant on and off about what I feel as injust or just simply *** (4 patches in a week, all on prime days/hours?) but at the end there's one thing that remains that is beyond unacceptable : ANNOUNE WHAT YOU DO AND STICK TO THE FREAKING WINDOW !

08.00 CEST, post that says its down till 06.00 CEST is still up with no comments, is it so hard to keep us updated ?

Starting to miss blizzard, and trust me.. not a compliment there.

Then as a game developer, you'd also know of the issues that can come up within developing a game right? Especially the one's that can slap you in the face while developing an MMO, right?

Lonn, fact is that ZOS cared more about meeting their pretty 4.4.14 deadline than getting the game finished on time.

Some of these game-breaking bugs that now threaten to destroy the game's economy have been around since Beta. Serious quest bugs that prevent players from progressing are still around 3 weeks after launch. Combat stops abruptly, I get dismounted off my horse 10 times a minute, stuck loading screens...

I don't mind bugs in an MMO, but so many bugs of this seriousness level, that were known before launch, and did not cause ZOS to push back the release date by a couple of weeks shows, again, that they only cared about their pretty launch date.

And I also agree with the OP that communication by their forum staff would greatly help relieve that frustration - but so far it seems they mainly just lock or edit posts to pretend nothing bad is happening.

Of course, you can't block it all and you might have to fix stuff on the spot making your customers very unhappy. You would be surprised tho how much is acceptable when there's actual communications. Take a look at GW2 or Wildstar patching (of which GW2 had enough problems in the background while people could still play) and then come back defending this...

    I doubt you will.

Question: why do you have a regular maintenance announced for a Tuesday, but then have a "scheduled?" maintenance on a Monday morning. The Monday morning in question being a bank holiday in most countries and so when people can play they are unable to. I guess that when people are back at work on Tuesday then the maintenance will be cancelled and the server will be available for all those people that cant play !

You've expressed your disappointment and complaints.

I am happy with patches so long as they make improvements...but I've got 8 days of /played time, so I don't think the outages affect me like they seem to be affecting you.

I too would like to see more communication, though. But who wouldn't?

I played GW2 since launch and I didn't bother with their downtimes or anything else for that matter, except the idiot move to have a merged auction house between NA and EU servers, making sure that they can't keep separate maintenance times, that's something I will never accept.

I played WoW from day one and I never complained about their horrible (to say the least) downtimes and lack of communications.

I've played too many MMO's since launch to list here and not once have I complained about their choices, I suck it up, calm down and use something called "patience", it's a virtue that most people lack today and quite frankly people need to learn about it.

Sure, I don't disagree about Zenimax Online Studios pushing their deadline while having ALOT of stuff needing to be in order before they should've released it and I said my share about it during the early access. I'm just done venting on the forums about it because it's not gonna get things done faster.

You guys should quit raging about it as well because all you're doing is creating unnecessary posts, wiping away things that needs to be fixed in order for the game to get better and more enjoyable, from the first page so that the devs or community managers might miss out on something that really needs attention.

If you guys want attention that bad, call your mother or another family member or maybe a friend and let the developers do their thing.

If you take all the posts combined (and yes, we are a terrible bunch of trigger happy whiners) it just sticks out : Complaints are different but they all include the lack of communications.

Atleast i got a smile back on my face again as i just got called back by ESO support (shot a ticket in 3 hours ago) about another issue (which i got helped with). When i asked the support emp. when we could expect the environment to be up i got answered to check my internet connection and such as its not down ^^

Glad the communications are not only bad towards us but apparantly you are not updating your customer support. I'll follow the directions from your support emp. who suggested me to update all my windows drivers and to call my ISP for possible port blocking setups that render me unable to connect. When i said "But its saying on screen your server is down" the guy answered that it just means their game server was not reachable from my internet connection.

    Still got that smile !

That has to be one really outdated support emp., at least back when I worked support, we checked the forums xD

Also, that post in particular really made my day, not because of the halfa**ed support attempt, but the fact that you got a smile back on your face. :D
