No roll-back please ! !

Still hearing rumours about a mass roll-back to sort this dupe issue. They role back my account, they can kiss my subscription goodbye. I'd urge anybody else who gets rolled back to do the same. Don't get me wrong Im all for punishing these wankers that have been exploiting, perma-ban them all, but why should those of us who have done nothing get punished also???
How is doing something that affects everybody who plays the game fair when its a mindless minority that are to blame !

If they do roll us all back, what if any compensation should we bet ?

If one did something, they deserve to be dealt with... but should not afflict people who played this game normal... that is my two cents... why are you so upset though? if you DID do something... well you would get served... that is also how it runs in real life.

Unless you hear it from a ZOS employee then it's probably rumour, speculation and want from other players.
They have already addressed bans for the duping I would imagine they're looking into the items and removal as well but unless stated by them we wont know.

If you trully did nothing , then they should give back whatever you lost in your roll back.

Well, as to why, when someone dupes items and then spreads them around, banning the person who started it means realy nothing, if they managed to dupe and give away 100 uniques, which will now stay in circulation forever.

Tho the rumours are strictly community driven as far as I've seen, so don't yell on poor Zen just yet, haha.

Stop listening to idiots, ZOS would be insane to do a rollback. They shouldn't need to, their logs should clearly show those who abused this, maybe a few 'exploiter lites' will escape but no way on God's Earth could ZOS consider a roll-back.

Id like to think that would happen. But in Zeni's defence imagine how much man hours that would require to deal with every single player that wanted their loot/gear replacing. Its more important still for those people who have found rare trait motifs, or been lucky enough to get vamp / werewolf bites. Chances of those same people finding the same things it limited to say the least !

There's no way they would do a roll back of that order, it would be the biggest mmo mistake ever (exaggerating a tad maybe but....).

The economy will fix itself over time from the mistake and the dupers. It will just take a while for people to realise the prices must go up from where they may be now.

I just hope the dupers themselves received a perma ban, this sort of thing should never be tolerated in the slightest, they knew what they were doing, if it had happened to me by accident the first thing I would have done is raised a ticket and deleted the offending duplicated items, anyone duping that didn't do something like that deserves everything they get,

I highly doubt they would do it. They ban "certain" cheaters/exploiters (applause) and let bordercases slide or demand explanation for thing z.

They know all too well they cannot afford the hate a mass rollback would create.

Oh, and we did land on the moon, the earth is round (not flat), and we aren't all immortal spirits of aliens brought to earth by Xenu and blown up with H-bombs in volcanos. Just thought I'd clear up some of the other 'heard it on the internet' things you might come across

Because it would remove all the duped items from the game (in theory) and remove any gold that was gained from the duping process. Its probably the easiest way to do it. BUT... it would also have a massive impact on everybody within the game. Those who are guilty and deserve it and (unfortunately) those who are innocent.

Don't worry, there wont be any. If there was one, would have been yesterday.

I lived rollbacks in others games. Usually people get pissed but most understand that is for the common good.

Besides, it doesn't make any sense doing a rollback if apparently the code has more holes than swiss cheese.

Their wont be a rollback everyone wanting one and thinking there is one, is just plain stupid and most likely a kid or clueless adult who doesn't understand how MMOs work.
