@ZOS staff: Is it safe to buy bank slots if wating for ccompensation?

Please don't everyone chime in with opinions, I'm looking for an "official" answer to help all of us who are waiting.
I have read anecdotal posts that claim that compensation is being made not in bank slots or items but in gold. That's fine, but my question is:
If we are waiting to be compensated for the bank bug and we go ahead and buy bank slots, will it then appear that we were not actually it by the bug because we have > 60 bank slots?
I have been holding off buying more slots because I don't want the CSR to pull my account, see more than 60 slots and then close my ticket.
Can you advise? Thanks!
PS: I wasn't trying to be b1tchy when I asked everyone to not post their "opinion" on what is or is not ok to do so that any official answer is easy for someone who wants the facts to find.
