Patch killed my fps

PsychoticHamster
I don't have an awesome graphics card, so before the patch my fps sat between 30-40 fps maybe dipping into the 20s if there were a lot of effects on screen. After the patch the highest fps I'm getting is 25, that's without anything intense going on, like combat. Any actual gameplay or movement makes the fps dip into the teens. Is this a temporary problem brought on by poor patching or has ZOS's attempt to fix the game broke it?

I have a nice computer and I think mine may have slowed down as well......time well tell. I'm sure they will fix on Friday maintenance, if this is the case that is.

While I have not yet encountered this issue, I'm certain they will have a fix for it (assuming it's not on your end).

I thought it was just me, but now I'm glad to see it's not. Pre-patch my FPS was normally mid-40s. Now I'm lucky to get 25 out of combat, and combat is just horrendous.

Honestly after every patch I have noticed a fps drop. Idk why but after a day or two it also fixes itself and I change nothing. Odd.

I have 60+ fps until i get into any pvp combat, even 1v1 in the middle of no where makes me lag like crazy and its totally unplayable for me atm.

Make sure and disable your add-ons and try it.

I'm running vanilla ESO, so I know this isn't add-on related for me.

I experienced jerky movement in Vulkhel Guard post-patch. No addons.

Back up your complaints by editing your posts with your System Specs, please. I read through here and I can't help anyone without knowing details.

Also did today's patch include the True full-screen mode? Wasn't listed in the patch notes, but they don't always list those changes.

    1. Press Windows (or Mac) key while in game.
    2. Does the Start Menu overlap the game?
    3. If YES then ESO still does not support True Full-Screen
    4. If NO, then the game will now utilize the video card better - could be why you're seeing lower FPS (lower-end video cards can profit more from Windowed Full-Screen while High-End will profit more in True Full-Screen mode)

    Process of elimination.

PC details would be a lot more helpful.
