Dude no one wants your dumb nameplates that's why it was closed lol. Nameplates are just out dated you want them go play WOW and leave ESO to what Elder Scrolls is a game all its own. Please don't make ESO like every other game out there its time games move on from the WOW lookalikes.

So trying to get developers to add in features is forcing them to our will? what an absurd notion.

Welp the fanboys have spoken and moderators are more interested in enforcing an iron rule instead of welcoming suggestions.

Seriously if I hear one more comparison to WoW...

WOW WAS NOT THE FIRST MMORPG TO INTRODUCE NAMEPLATES.
IT SHOULD BE A TOGGLE OPTION IN GAME. YOU DON'T LIKE DON'T USE IT.

Not asking for your opinion nor do I care. Don't support it, that's fine, stay out of this topic.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's just a game. Muzzling people who are crying about some gameplay element? Gimme a break.

Worst forum mods, though, are the ones over at Sports Interactive. Nothing beats them. Those clowns post more per thread than the players themselves. They rabidly defend their P.O.S. game. And are quick with the maul.

Quite sad to hear. The developers made such a song and dance about listening to user feedback during development, whatever happened to that?

Okay fine. You can't accept the rules of the forum, you demand that the game cater to your wants not the "vision" of the designers, which means you are obviously unhappy with the game/community... so leave and find something more to your tastes.

Look I seriously have no patience left the the braying masses all demanding the game be changed, "fixed, patched, whatever to meet their immediate wants without any real consideration or desire to play the game as designed. These entitled folks annoy me more than the fanbois that fanatically defend the game no matter what - in the end I'll take the fanbois of this game since they are less annoying than the fanbois of other MMOs trying to make this game more like the ones they came from.

Sigh... Americans... Free of Speech only applies to the public sphere and companies are completely allowed to places limits on expression within their private communications. This forum is a private not public sphere.

No offense to you, dude, but if it annoys you so much why the heck are you reading these forums in the first place? Forums are a place to state your opinions. I agree that a game is unique thanks to the vision of the designers, but everything should have room for suggestions and constructive criticism. I personally do not need nameplates, as I enjoy the thrill of thinking a player is an npc (it's a unique experience for me). It makes the game feel less crowded.

But, I don't think that suggestions for changes are bad. It's how games stay afloat with the changing times. The only thing the OP did wrong (I think it was his thread) is that he posted a petition here against the rules. I tried to warn them about this in the thread, but it seems my warning came too late.

Not sure how the Addons have anything to do with this request. I personally love that the developers made that available, as it allows (to some degree) customization of player experience much like the other ES games.

I'm sure if there isn't already someone will make an add-on for it. But the fact that it clearly states it is a petition is the issue. If you want to discuss name plates then discuss them. But don't try to push people's buttons or force ZOS into something based on the masses. It is still their game, their vision. There are always little things people will dislike (I don't like the UI on Skyrim as much so I downloaded a mod to fix it but the UI for Skyrim worked great on console.) Just be happy that we can add things that they may not think necessary but we find makes the journey easier on us. They did not have to do that.

I suspect it was closed because in the title it says "Petition." They've closed other threads purporting to be petitions, whether the contents were really like a petition or not, because they don't allow petitions. If you title a thread with the word "Petition" for whatever feature you want, you can expect to see it closed.

If it were single player then sure. But it isn't. It should be an option for those who want to use it. And for those who don't, don't use it, simple.

It maybe the number of posts in the form or the length of the discussion. They have had to close a few because they started to glitch.

Oh, No to nameplates. I have no trouble figuring out who someone is or isn't.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.
