Nope, the scheduled maint went ahead for the EU server this morning and was completed. This is an unscheduled maint.

I presume it's an emergency fix for either something like the bank problem, or something unforeseen that happened as a result of the earlier patch.

I lost my bank upgrades, I know this patch is not addressing this but I hope they take their time and get it right. Enough bugs in this game already, they are working on fixing them lets hope they are not creating more.

I was just thinking they should follow eve server maintenance, bring it down daily for one hour during the lowest peak of player population. I only get a couple hours a day to play and so far the server has allowed me to play 6 hours since I bought this game 8 days ago lol.

They extended the NA maintenance window and added an unscheduled EU maintenance.

It is unlikely that they just said, "hey, I am done with my morning coffee, let's take the servers down and go grab some lunch."

It is more likely that something happened during the NA maintenance that made them realize they had more work to do on the EU server.

We can hope for a "stop the presses" bug fix for the bank issue or another quest bug, but in reality, it is probably something behind the scenes that we will never know about, like a fix was applied wrong.

I read this exact same thread on the WOW forums for 8 years. All I can say is, it's an MMO, get used to it. There will be maintenance. Unexpected problems happen and servers will go down sometimes when it's not convenient for you.

Nope...for the whole game so far I have only ONE bugged quest that I got yesterday and it will maybe fixed today, have not lost any bank slots or any items.

They MUST give information PRIOR bringing servers down. IE:
"We will fix Thing1, Thing2 and Thing3 which are blocking points for many people. ETA is XYZ" this WILL justify the maintenance.

In the current state they go and do "We bring servers offline, no ETA". THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. What's this support? Have they never been trained how to communicate with the customers?

Plus what they did this morning? Applied a patch? Good, why they go apply another now? In PRIME TIME? I have a day off, I did EVERYTHING ELSE I wanted to do and left the evening for the game because I expected waaay longer morning maintenace...They decided they will do nothing the whole day and will bring the servers down at the most stupid time ever...sorry but NOPE this can't be TOLERATED...
