Safe to buy bank slots after 1.0.3?

I'm one of those people who lost a bunch of bank slots when I lost the contents of my bank.

After patch 1.0.3 should I still refrain from buying more slots? Can I get my slots back?

Or...can you just give everyone 20 more slots. I now spend half my time swapping gear around.

It's not listed in the list of fixes in the patch, so I doubt if it will be safe yet.

Missing Bank Slots, Stored Bank Items, and Skill Points – We're continuing to investigate the issue, and are working on a fix now. As soon as the fix is ready, we will push it out to the live megaservers. Please note: This may result in a second maintenance this week and when we do push the fix, it will not be retroactive. Know that we want to make this right for all impacted—we’re still exploring options to help those who have stored items/gold, and bank slots go missing.

From the patch notes, I don't think its fix in patch 1.0.3.

One thing that latest statement seems to do is kill off the idea which they said a few days ago that they were analysing log files to determine what items and gold players.

That seemed like a hopeless idea when I read it, perhaps ZOS too now realise it's an impossible way to proceed.

Amen, brother, preach it! I'm about to create a 5th alt just for crafting mats. There's a reason GW2 gives you FREE crafting slots in your bank, for all crafting/harvested mats. This problem right here. Every day I spend many many dozens of minutes just handling inventory issues rather than out there adventuring/playing.

Ay yi yi. I have been dreading logging in with the chance that I've lost all my inventory, or lost my bank slots. What god do I need to pray to to prevent this tragedy from befalling my poor adventurer?

And how can there be no way to restore characters to a previous moment/day/week? Does ZOS/Bethesda not understand the concept of MMO support in 2014? Very disconcerting.

Not fixing the Bank Bug with this patch is unreal. Its a slap in the face of any of us that has lost things because of this bug. But yet they let us be spammed constantly in mail and chat by Gold sellers, they don't do a thing to anyone buying gold or using the many exploits to farm gold. Ban the boss campers, or at least allow only 1 time drop from that boss in the quest any other time you kill that boss no items drop.

The slap is of all the things going wrong in the game, they dump quest fixes on us. I realize quest fixes are important, but game breaking bugs/hacks/exploits need to be priority 1.

My CSR told me NOT to buy any bank slots until the bug is fixed and that I would get my inventory space back.. not the inventory, just the space.

I don't know about others' issues, but it seems to me this is a account validation issue where it suddenly sees the account as a new one and adjusts everything accordingly. I'm a crazy alt maker, have a full 8 chars. When all my stuff disappeared from the bank, I also got resent the explorer's pack and beta monkey.

I changed to one of my alts (which had just deposited stuff in the bank a few minutes prior) and all the stuff was back in the bank, except the 30 slot upgrades lost. The stuff from the 30 slots was blasted back into my char's inventory though and money was gone from the bank. Later I deleted a char and created a new one to find that it didn't give me an option to skip coldharbour (as though it was a 1st char).

How do you figure?

The fix is obviously not ready yet while other changes are ready to go. I, for one, am willing to take multiple maintenance windows during the week in order to roll out changes faster.

We know they are working on a fix. If it was an easy fix, it would be out already.

Give them some room, they will release the fix when it is ready.

As other said it's not fixed yet, they said soon and maybe later this week.

Agreed. There is no way that ZoS cannot have this on the top of their priority list. It is pretty obvious that it is technically difficult to fix.
