Unable to open launcher. Lost 7 days of game time already. Please help.

I have tried contacting support but the things they suggested did not help.

They have since stopped replying altogether.

I tried asking for help on the facebook page, only to have my post deleted and be blocked from the page.

I submitted a "phone" support ticket and it said I would be called "in more than 1 hour". It has been a week.

My paid game time is ticking away, and I am still completely unable to play the game.

Installed from disk, the install finished and opened the launcher, which then needed an update. After the update, the launcher simply sits on a splash screen of "Loading..." indefinitely. The one time that it actually opened, it took 26 hours to load and then failed to patch anyway (Got stuck at 98%)

This is completely unacceptable, they should at least offer to pause my subscription or something until these issues are resolved, I cannot possibly be the only person with this problem.

Brand new Windows 7 Professional x64 install now and it's still not working, all my drivers are up to date and there is a dxdiag.txt attached.

I have had the same problem.

Couple things that worked for me:

1. Just keep trying....it usually takes me 5 or 10 attempts to get the thing to open. This may or may not work for you. It's incredibly annoying and I hope they fix it soon.

2. Make a shortcut to eso.exe, place it on your desktop, and use that to open the game. This lets me open the game every time without any problems. The only issue here is that I believe in order to update the game you need to go through the launcher...but don't quote me on that! Maybe the game updates on it's own...I don't know.

I can't use eso.exe to open the game. While it DOES launch ESO, I can't log in coz my client is out of date

Have you tried right click the launcher and "run as admin"? *Note that a minimized win where you have to answer yes might appear.

This is a solution posted by the devs in this forum ...

Yeah this made no difference sadly

Issue somehow seemed to resolve itself... though now the game wants to re download every time the launcher opens?

Bump. I've been back and forth with a CSR via email and still no resolution. Very frustrating.
