ZOS, I need you to promise me...

For starters, please promise me you are working on the chat lag and connectivity issues. It seems to happen a lot at night.

2nd thing, please promise me this game will never got F2P. I hear a lot of people are demanding this game go F2P, but I don't understand their logic of wanting a triple A game for free.

I don't think people are 'wanting' it to go F2P - it's just that launching with critical data loss bugs (for example) and not addressing them promptly does not bode well for the future of this game as a premium subscription game.

People paying for a service usually expect... service?

Whether this games goes F2P or not, it completely up to Zeni and how they handle problems and whatnot. So far from what I have seen if they don't have marketing working on F2P stuff they should seriously consider it.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

    I...hmm....

I'll just wait for maintenance to occur and then watch everyone foam at the mouth and scream at ZOS for taking the game down to fix bugs.

Well, actually... they have to track down Molag Bal's minions, who stole the pony.

Amazingly when I, or anyone else, is able to track the people who "suddenly" want to the game to go F2P they have complained about it many times before, during, and after. So you can pretend they want it, and maybe a few are so "upset" over the fact the game is "alpha" and want it F2P because of that, however the majority wanted it F2P the entire time. In fact if you actually looked at these people in other MMOs the majority, not all, probably pay little at the pay shops and add little into the value of the actual game.

Just from what I see, based on YEARS of experience. You and others might be different, but the majority, factually, are not.

Looks like a mod cleaned up this thread.

This is what happens when people call them Nazis...

Probably shouldn't do that, folks. Have some respect. :p

Did you buy the imperial edition? If so it's only 1 gold.

    Jokes don't exist.

This is so meta and self contradicting.

Last I read, there are 2 successful subscription-based MMOs at the moment... World of Warcraft and EVE Online. If ESO wants to join that rather small club, they need to be competitive with the quality of those games. ESO is gorgeous, and has amazing potential (very competitive there). But they are currently badly failing in terms of customer service and ability to handle game issues. One out of three won't keep them solvent.

If they can't maintain the revenue they need off subscriptions, they don't have a lot of viable options that don't involve microtransactions left. Not driving away the people who are currently playing would seem to be a priority, but I'm not seeing it.
