EA origin changing IPs?

I played ESO last night fine to verify that my monkey issue was fixed and it finally is over with.

So i played, then moved closed up the game, then opened up Origin to play BF4 a little. Closed that, left origin open, and went back to ESO. When i tried to play i got a message saying i wasn't allowed to play on that PC, which of course left a perplexed look on my face since I was playing shortly before.

Game sent the email, I restarted my PC and played fine.

Is that normal? I think this is the first time I've tried to run the game leaving origin open, but not really sure.

I think origin just messes up other programs, as I've gotten some funky issues with steam after trying to use that if origin is open.

Origin won't be able to change your IP address. The new IP confirmation system isn't 100% stable at the moment, so I'd chalk it up to a glitch in the matrix.

    ok, i'll do that.

I've also had issues if origin is running, and I try to run steam where i would sometimes get a message from steam saying i wasn't connected to the internet and to run in offline mode...strange.

I'd be suspicious of that. I too run Origin for some games but am a primarily Steam gamer. I've been able to have both open at the same time with relatively no problem since I often forget I have Origin even up.

Could be a memory/CPU load issue. Steam is pretty bugaroo'd and will tell you that you're not connected when you are (Usually those are maintenance times for Steam but sometimes it just gets up in arms about nothing) and I'd suspect it wasn't related to Origin unless you're taxing your computer with another client open... also doesn't sound likely.
