They "validated" my card when they charged me - and received payment - for the Imperial Edition I ordered with it.
To do so again for my "free" month of playtime is egregious false advertising, deceptive marketing and *** poor customer service. While the charge may be a "validation" - that validation BLOCKS my use of MY money for the time it is on my account. The amount has no bearing on the argument. I don't care if it's 2 cents or 2 thousand dollars. They are not entitled to another cent of my money until May 4th - and yet here's my account sitting with a block on it.
They could easily have not required signing up for a subscription until the 30 days was up (as was indeed the case in the physical TOS agreement on April 4, but which was changed to the new model on April 7th) and not a single complaint would have been received. Now they have a mess on their hands (and the fan, the walls and the entire "room")
