Digital Pre-Order Items, Imperial Edition and Pets Reward Bound on Pickup? Seriously why?!?

Ok I get it, you don't want to through your digital items around like candy, but making all digital content bind on pickup ? Seriously?
My girlfirend just wanted to take the treasure maps for the Dominion out of the mail. Yeah, so there is no way to take out one attached item only, so you are (at least tooltip wise) forced to take everything from that mail at once. Now she noticed all the treasure map container are Bound on Pick Up and can't be shared with any other character on her account!
Seriously? What in the world is she supposed to do with Ebonheart Treasure maps? or with Daggerfall treasure maps?
Why not make the Bound to Account? Why not give only the correct faction package to the correct faction character? Why not created a specific UI interface to handle your digital items, instead send them via mail and make them BoP and give the mail a 30 day limit?
There are like a bazillion better solutions to solve digital item management,than the one you guys went for! Why did we even buy 2 Imperial Editions? So that every damn pet is immediatly bound, once you I picked it from the mail it was sent in? Currently I just feel like being screwed over day after day after day....
Ever heard of people taking time to decide which class to play? Ever heard of people not liking a class anymore after several levels of play time? So basically I have 30
(- all the days you guys bring the servers down) days to decide which character to give those goodies to.
And yeah small reminder: I can't split them between my Characters!!! So its either all items from one mail to one character or nothing at all?
The're like hundrets of MMOs out there and I'm sure your employees played more than half of them....so why in the world not take some inspiration and do some stuff right? Instead you make the same mistakes again, that others have done like 8 years ago, and frustrate your player base.
I'm a big fan of the elder scrolls. I own every Elder Scrolls game out there. Also I had no isses with the Items being limited to one use!
But please stop screwing us over with a not so well thought out binding and distribution policy / system. Just make those contoainer and pets Bound on Account and let us dump them in our bank!
I really don't understand how such an easy to manage system can be executed so wrong? Like you guys are an Indie Studio making their first game ever...
Sorry for the rant, but I'm at a point where I really don't understand your decisions towards your customers and community anymore...

Imryll✭✭✭✭✭You can't put the map containers in the bank, but you can remove an individual map from the container and put that in the bank for transfer to another character on the account. You could remove all of the maps and put them in the bank, but that would really eat up storage space. I just have the Keeper of the Maps pull out the appropriate map when a character is about to enter a new zone.
I've been able to put the pets and rings of Mara in the bank also.Edited by Imryll on April 14, 2014 2:13AM1
