Is grinding to max lvl allowed?

jf_sauveb16_ESO
I hate questing. I despised doing ANY kind of quest at all. I used to play DAoC and grinding was pretty much the ONLY solution back then and I loved it. I played WoW and hell, I even grinded my way up in that game too! Now, I've heard rumors about ESO not allowing people to "just grind". Only to grind while questing. I'd like to know if that rumor is true and where does it says in the ToS or any contract that I can't grind? If it falls under "exploiting". Please, explain how my way of leveling is exploiting the game where EVERY other MMO doesn't seem to mind it?

EDIT: I'm not talking about farming a mob/boss that respawns every 2 seconds. That is definitly an exploit. But randomly killing monsters in the wild.

As far as I know there is nothing wrong with grinding mobs. One of the loading screens even tells you how many mud crabs you would have to kill to reach 50.

Now there are certain quests you have to do to reach other areas, but beyond that you should be able to keep killing mobs instead of questing.

The game seems to be about doing it your way, so It would seem bizarre and out of place to have a rule limiting how you level.

Why on earth should it not be allowed? Never heard such a silly rumor...

Well my account is currently suspended and I'm looking for a reason as to why it was suspended. I did skip the quest to get into Coldharbour because I've done it with 1 character already

That'd be ridiculous if true. Grind as much as you want.

If the account is suspended, it's likely that they thought it was compromised, or a gold seller, or a bot. Just grinding mobs isn't against any rules that I know of, that would be silly.

That's what I think as well because I did send some of the money I earned grinding to friends that didn't buy the IE so they could get a horse.

I saw another thread about a suspension after trading a large quantity of gold. Someone in that thread had even mentioned getting suspended after depositing a large amount then pulling it right back out on another character.

It seems like large quantity gold only transactions are getting people booted for setting of some automation system that tries to detect gold sellers.
And so did many brave men, women, and beast fall to the end of Beta, never to be heard from again. All that is left, is whispers of the adventures they had.

I really think it's the issue here as well, sadly. Thank you for your input Heishi!

I don't see why it wouldn't be, you can always change weapons and Armour before fighting lower levels to level up quicker. I don't have a problem with farming providing it's an actual person and not just a bot. Most other mmo's had gms that would chat and if you failed to respond you would get banned.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most gold sellers use bots to grind mobs to get gold to sell? It might be that you are banned because only grinding mobs and not questing is seen as bot behavior.

I think it would be a must to have at least 1 person ask you a question, a pop up in your screen or whatever.

At this early phase of the game when players don't have a whole lot of gold, they *might* be doing this.

Later on, once players have gold, it is actually silly for them to do this, because the majority of sold gold is stolen from hacked accounts. It's just, right now, there isn't much to steal because the game is too new.

I really think that's what happened but I was hoping that some interaction would be in effect before a ban or something. I can grind continuously for several hours because I like it. I know I'm weird to people but that's how I play.
