You going to do something about all the Bots?

Every other dungeon you go to right now has a group of bots parked at the boss spawns.
They never move, never speak, and you could set the second-hand on your watch by the timing of their buffs between spawns.

Go into any dungeon right now and see for yourself.

To demonstrate, I poked into the closest dungeon to where I am - Softloam Cavern.
5 rounds of the boss - the following 4 users have been absolute Clockwrok timing.

None have moved a step, they don't respond to spoken chat, and you can drag mobs right in front of their noses and they don't react. They Only react to the spawn of the boss, and in Exactly the same sequence of actions in Exactly the same timing every time.

I saw this too, which got annoying when I went to kill the boss. I know they drop shards, so I killed it a couple times and talked to a few people, but several did nothing but the same actions over and over, never said a word. Just loses the immersion n crowds the boss.

You can use /bug to make a bug, exploit, bot, goldspammer, etc report. I believe Zenimax reacts far faster to this than any forum post.

please be careful with this and ensure report only a guilty party. there are a lot of innocent people being caught in the crossfire. think hard before you report

I wouldn't post players names in the forums. Calling a witch hunt on someone without proof from ZOE that they are indeed bots, you're basically ruining the name of a legit player.

Most games won't let you call out other players like that because of that reason.

One thing to do to try and see if it's a bot. Use a an aggro skill to move the boss away from his position. Do the players follow or remain where they are? No auto targeting and auto follow is great

There's a lot of farming going on, but I don't think it's bots. I don't believe a bot is available for ESO yet, for one thing. There are gold sales going on, so I think chances are it's people in an office somewhere, uh, farming.

Plenty available sadly, hopefully they're as strict on bots as they are with RMT going from what I've seen so far.

If you have any doubts - go hit Emberflint right now.

The bots are stuck in a loop, they died at some point and it bugged out their script.
It is funny to watch... but pretty much destroys the quality of gameplay.

Yes, I'm reporting them in-game, but so far, the same ones I reported as the evening began are still in the same places repeating the same, identical in time and sequence, actions they were when I first logged on.

Go visit Emberflint if you think these are "Legitimate" players.

When their scripts get confused by something interrupting their ability to do things exactly the same way each time - it gets funny.

Yep, countless times I've reached the boss and couldn't even get a hit in because of farmers killing the boss within seconds of spawning. Really spoils it for me

    "for the purpose of" -
I posted "for the purpose of" - requesting their attention with regard to the rampant botting going on in nearly Every dungeon in the game right now.

As to reporting them in-game... we've been doing that since they started this.
Make a character, level them up- report the bots on the way... start a new character 2 days later.. see the SAME bots in the same place.. report again..
A couple days later, go through it all again.

That is why I posted here - because the In-Game reports are apparently being ignored.

Maybe they are real players with real problems. Are you going to sit here and call out and make fun of a child with special needs? You monster!

Also, I've been called a bot in this game twice now, mainly for farming some of the mini world bosses. They act like I'm constantly killing the same mob over and over again for the 'epic lewtz' when the truth is it's a guaranteed filled soul stone each time they die. I have enough stones for me, my guildies, and some of my alts until level 20. Is that a bad thing?

yep, this is the problem here. some ppl dont care to check or even think if someone killing these bosses is a bot or a real player. theyre just too fast to call-out all sort of things.

I do not believe they are bots. I came across a group like this in a public dungeon and realised they were farming the boss. I joined them for a bit as the drops were quite good. It got a bit dull so I left.

I am quite certain these were real players farming the boss.

I don't speak to players, mainly because I have most of my chat disabled and hidden. I instead use some add-ons to display each amount of damage I do and take per item, and a full detail of what is being leveled. It takes up a lot of reading room. I also use TS to communicate, so my thought is if you aren't actually talking to me, you're not important enough to give my time to.

I find it interesting that several are trying so hard to argue that these are Real players..

A Human player - is limited to Roughly the same actions in Roughly the same timing, and will occasionally be delayed in reaction.

But lets ignore that. Lets assume that a human could actually repeat these processes without fail and in perfect time for hours on end.

Explain the other 2-4 characters with which they are operating in perfect synchronicity.

These aren't individual characters farming a spawn, these are Botted Groups of characters, working in perfect sync with each other, well outside the realm of human capacity.
Even the use of hardware-macro devices, like programmable gamepads, doesn't allow for these characters to work perfectly As A Group.

Welp, I say provide a few hours of non-stop video of you watching these 'bots', or you have nothing to back your claim up with. Seems fair.

So I should give up my game time to do the job of someone Paid to do so at Zenimax?

And if I do, are you actually going to Admit they're bots?

I suspect there are cases of both.

I don't mind farming in general. I'm an immersion-oriented player, and even I've killed the bosses at the ends of dungeons multiple times in a row. They have good loot, and sometimes the respawn timer doesn't leave you time to get out of the way.

However, I've also come across a lot of people who never move and shoot in one direction even after the boss is moved. If they're not bots, then they're some sort of shenanigans.

Also, if your farming disrupts the gameplay of others, then you should be reported either way. Multiple times, I.haven't been able to get a hit in edgewise because the bots/farmers have reached critical mass and take the boss down in seconds. Immersion-breaking, I can tolerate in an MMO... not letting me finish my quests will lead to reporting.

I am Queen of Typos. If you don't see "Edited by BlackSparrow" above this line, please assume my account has been taken over by scamps and react accordingly.

    My Girls:
    "Elsweyr, yay or nay?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "If circumstances try to drive me there, maybe. Right now, it just sounds like a lot of sand in my boots."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "The simple thought of it dries my scales. I ventured into Elsweyr long ago, but I may be getting too old to make the journey again."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "This one looks forward to seeing her home sands again. Perhaps she will make her home village many fish sticks!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "I could do much with a good dragon hide."
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "I see little need to muck about some ancient tomb. Too much work to do elsewhere. No, that was not an intentional pun."
Lorelai Magpie, breton thief: "Stealing from the Ban Daar is always a fun challenge. Sometimes, they steal their stuff back!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "While I try to stay at Swum-Many-Waters' side, the whispers of an undead threat worry me."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "Perhaps. The lady Mephala spins many webs, and I can see there being benefit in sending me into the path of an undead invasion."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hear there will be dragons. I would be a disappointment to my Nord heritage if I did not try to slay them."
Madam Argentia, dunmer aristocrat: "I have little desire to waltz across the desert for weeks at a time. It's terrible for the complexion."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'm kinda busy up in Wrothgar, sorry!"
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "The Khajiit usually throw some nice contracts my way. I'm sure Jimila will have something that will take me there."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one is happy to check back on her homeland after grand adventures drew her away! Let the kittens call her -dra instead of -daro now!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "My lady Meridia does detest the undead. I may need to sneak out on my duties on Artaeum to address it."
